I just got back from the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., where conservatives began lining up behind a man who’s been sticking it to us for years. By a process of self-hypnosis, many have managed to convince themselves that McCain is actually one of us.

What part of John McCain do we not get? McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman, McCain-Edwards -- among other socialist, anti-speech, open-borders, enviro-Marxist measures he’s co-sponsored with the hardcore left of the Democratic Party over the years.
If Il Duce had served with him in the United States Senate, there would be McCain-Mussolini.

As an Electronics Technician, I actually understand your analogy. Unfortunately, I still don’t agree with it. :)
The problem is the MSM represents a diode, biased to only allow public opinion to swing on one side of the zero Volt reference point, thus nulling all current flow in opposition to their bias.

Exactly! In my opinion, this election is what it is: A train wreck. So now is the time to look to the future. I know there are those who disagree with me, but a McCain loss now is a net gain for the future. Four years of Hillary gives us time to regroup. Four years of McCain is four more years of duck, cover, explain, shudder, and lose ground.
Personally, I don’t think Hillary will be effective for the left, and thus can serve as a useful idiot for for us.

I have voted a straight down the line GOP ballot everytime it has been presented to me since I was first of age to vote (my first national election was in 1980 and I voted for some obscure guy from California named Ronald Wilson Reagan). I even held my nose and voted for GWB! Twice! Because he was, as you are trying to tell me again tonight, “He is the lesser of two evils”! Well, NOT THIS TIME BROTHER!
I want to know who the hell decides these primary elections? Mine is not for another three days, yet my choice has already been made for me? I have my choice in the general election of voting for Liberal X or Liberal Y and if I WON’T vote for any liberal (PERIOD!) it is trason?

We at least agree on one point.
In November 2000 I became convinced that before we could prevail we must harness the media. It is now 7 years later and we have made great strides in that direction. Talk radio rules, the newspapers are hemorrhaging readers and in decline, the blogworld can destroy media icons.....all unthinkable in 2000.
Now you tout liberals as a temporary place holder. On the first day of that place holding there will be calls and legislation for implementing the fairness doctrine. The DOD will be directed to remove Rush from Armed Forces Radio, Free Republic will be taxed into oblivion.
Rather than do nothing about the offending diode, election of a Republican will be like installing a switch that has the effect of removes it from the circuit.
