The Talk Shows
Sunday, February 10th, 2008
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): President George W. Bush.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; Joe Trippi, former John Edwards campaign adviser; Karl Rove, former deputy chief of staff to President Bush.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Gov. Tim Kaine, D-Va.; former Sen. Bob Kerrey, D-Neb.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio; former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
That sounds a great idea but I suspect some State laws would not allow this but it would stop so called tactical voting including voting for the candidate they would rather face from the opposite party.
Har, Har!
Did you draw that yourself?
Well I just don’t know what to say.
My plan, for today at least, it might change tomorrow, is to not say a damn word about McCain. I will go into the secret voting booth and vote how I feel.
They’re throwing so many bombs at us but they CAN’T, they simply cannot control how we vote.
I had heard it was predicted but had not heard that it was confirmed
Huckabee doing well as usual. Not much attention here. I was going to vote for Obama on Tuesday Just to keep Hilliary out but changed my mind after last night.
Go Huckabee! I know its a real long shot but it is definitely sending McCain a message.
Thompson is a ‘colleague’ of McCain first and foremost. It was obvious to me that he would back McCain over Romney, the real outsider.
I did indeed. Rather sloppily (on a laptop touchpad), but that is my work.
I’m making potato salad today.
I love potato salad and here I am, still late in life, trying to get the proper recipe for it.
The secret is in the potatoes. They need to be cooked just right...not too firm and not too mushy. I have Yukon Gold taters cause Alton Brown told me that’s the right kind to use.
In fact, I’m kind of using an Alton Brown recipe.
wish me luck.
That also means no coattails. I live in a changing part of Illinois, which used to be 80-90% Republican, but is now going 60%R and 40% D because so many people are moving out of Chicago and into areas like mine.
And if this conservative stays home in November, that means one less vote for Don Manzullo (US House). Wonder how he feels about that?
“Fred Thompson endorsed McCain, a major disappointment.
Yes, it is.”
Many think Fred Thompson should be chosen as VP. I tend to agree with the thought, but I personally would like to have Governor Sanford of SC.
If McCain is the nominee, he just might reach out to Middle America and choose Chuck Hagel.
Heaven help us if Hagel is McCain’s choice.
I don’t think Fred came out for mccainniac until after Super Tuesday - and it seemed apparent that the nut would get the nod.
A lot of folks like unpeeled redskinned potatoes, but I would only do that with baby potatoes, way too early for that!
My students did not know both hellary and hussein were dims.
Pledged Delegate
Totals as of
02-09-08Republicans 1,191
McCain 714 Romney 286 Huckabee 217 Paul 16 Democrats 2,025
Clinton 1,100 Obama 1,039
Thompson’s feckless candidacy and failure to go after McCain, especially on amnesty, DID MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Well at least that does make us more aware of who is running in Britain on the Republican side - something not quite right or is it simply media coverage and we are seeing more media coverage of the Republican race than you are. Having said that there is more coverage on Dems than Republican campaign.
‘Theyre throwing so many bombs at us but they CANT, they simply cannot control how we vote.’ -———— yet
