Can McCain Be Trusted With Nukes?
pinochet

Posted on 02/07/2008 7:17:56 PM PST by pinochet

McPain's biggest problem may not be that he is a leftist RINO who hates conservatives, as bad as that fact is on its own. Let's Face it.....he is nuts! He makes Ron Paul and his kooks look sane.

Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi was quoted saying a few days ago that:

"The thought of him being president sends a cold chill down my spine...He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and it worries me" http://www.ajc.com/opinion/content/opinion/bookman/stories/2008/02/06/bookmaned_0207.html

Can you all remember his rage in 2000, when he trashed evangelical Christians, and compared Rev. Robertson and the late Rev. Falwell to Farrakhan and Sharpton? He has repeatedly lost his temper in his low-stress job as a US Senator. How is he going to handle the high stress of the Oval Office? Is he mentally and psychologically up to it? If conservatives make him mad when he is President, such as opposing a second attempt at amnesty, what do you think he will do to them? Unleash the IRS? Worse?

McCain's believes that America owes him the Presidency, because he suffered as a POW in Vietnam. He does not believe that non-Veterans have the right to question any of the pig-headed decisions he makes. His hateful attacks on Romney during the last primary debate, denigrating Romney's achievements as a businessman, and saying that he did not serve his country for profit, was deeply troubling. And his twisting of Romney's comments about Bob Dole, to hint at Romney's lack of military service, was just nasty.

When he was under investigation over his involvement in the Keating Five scandal in the 1980s, he repeatedly played the Vietnam card, which intimidated those investigating him. The implication was that veterans who have been in combat deserve special treatment, and cannot be subjected to the same laws as the rest of us. McInsane has played the Vietnam card far more than John Kerry.

What do you think would happen, if congress were to try to impeach him for misconduct as President? He would constantly remind the congressmen that they were not tortured in Nam.

If Russia was to p!ss him off, would he bomb them? Do you trust McNuts with nukes?

When did FR become DailyKos or DU? What is this garbage? If this is the kind of pointless raging and wankery we can expect from “the base,” then we should get ready to hear “President Clinton” for the next four years. McCain is the nominee. Get over it and grow up.

Thanks, I’ll have to check it out. I’ve liked him in almost anything he has done. He and Deniro in Deer Hunter were amazing. Dead zone doesn’t have rave reviews but I thought it was excellent. BTW, have you ever seen Brainstorm? Another Walken scifi flick that I thought was a slick idea well executed. Was also Natlie Wood’s last film.

We had a great candidate in the race named Duncan Hunter but half stepping RINOs like you wouldn’t support him.

Yeah...McLame does not have a chance.

Not only will the Dems and MSM attack McCain like nothing he can imagine - does he really think that the 2000 primary was bad? - but anyone with a real conservative bone in their body has to reject him.

If McCain ever got within a hundred yards of the presidency, the result would be the last Republican presidency for another generation at least, and irreparable harm to the Party. (Although, who care about the Party at this point?)

Hi Chuck54, BG, doing fine. Miss you managing over at the Rush Limbaugh thread and that thread under TS is still running strong. Hope to see you again posting at that thread soon. Not suprising about the crazy vanity threads lately. This one really took the cake for crazy vanity threads. Take care and I hope to see you again even to post over at the ElRushbo thread. :)

Come on.....another infantile query on an infantile post.

I'm so tired of political tabloid crappioli being posted on FR these past couple of disappointing days.

We don't have to "calm down" as McCain said, but we really should "grow up and shape up" as Humphrey Bogart said.

If this is the kind of pointless raging and wankery we can expect from “the base,” ...

1) That's rather harsh on the pastime of wankery, don't you think?

2) Isn't pointless raging and wankery a normal part of being base?

If McCain starts muttering about somebody sapping our precious bodily fluids, then I’ll start to worry.

TGIF is coming tomorrow. Hang in there.

Stuff like this is going to really hurt the good name of FR. Just a thought.

I think this story is kind of silly. After all, McCain just has to be competent. He was Kerry’s first choice to be his Vice-President long before he chose Edwards.

Worry not, McCain hasn’t a chance in the world to win the ability to press the big red button.

Not to worry. It's not as if the DUers needed this to confirm their crazy suspicions. Dan Rather may be in for a shock though.

Relax Dan. It's just a few loose cannons shooting off blanks; blowing off steam. It's been a rough week. You can go back to hating us for real reasons next week.

There we go. Taken care of BG ;>)
