You rallied behind someone who never had their heart in the race and was never a leader in their life (Thompson) or never had a chance in hell (Hunter). What is needed more than anything to win the WH is a drive to do the spade work necessary to get there. So by denying Romney victory in IA and NH and SC, and splitting the field, you now have probably the worst enemy of all - someone the Wonderful Mr. Jim Robinson never saw fit to put a 'truth file' on.
So, nice work.
I had no idea that Romney criticized Thomspon. I voted for him on Tuesday because Hunter and Thompson were no longer in the race and Romney was the best of the rest. I do believe that he changed his position/leans right and I was willing to trust that since I don’t trust McCain and Huckabee at all.
He didn’t say anything about sending them home.
You cant just make up words when we have him on tape.

That’s where I am now and don’t know what I’m going to do in November. I liked some things about Guiliani but learned so much about Hunter and then Thompson here and was hoping the latter two would be around for me to vote for them in the primary. Then I voted for Romney on Tuesday. I don’t trust any of those still in the race.
How much of a carbon footprint will that leave?
Um, none of them, and I mean NONE of them are Jesus nor should be referred to as such. JMO.
Uh-oh. I'm busted. ;-)
How many times are you n00bie retards going to post vanities blaming Free Republic?
Why should anyone be blamed? Last I checked, we’re Americans and we can vote for whomever we choose. At least right now we can, not so sure about the future. I voted for Romney on Tuesday and now he’s done. He wasn’t my 1st or 2nd choice but I thought he was the best of what was left.
I’ve been a conservative republican my entire voting life and for the first time I don’t have a candidate to support (on either side).
So romney’s out. Deal with it. We’re going to have 4 to 8 years of a lib dem for President anyway and we’ll survive. We’re in for tough times and maybe that’s what we need for the masses to stop whining and start thinking about what’s best for this country. We survived Carter and Clinton (and a whole lot worse)and we’ll survive another Clinton or McCain. The MSM is an enemy of this country and all it holds dear. My parents knew that back in the 60s. We’ve become lazy, IMO. As for me and mine, we won’t roll over. I’m sure there are many here who feel the same. All this blaming and whining doesn’t help this country.
Well said.
You’re not alone. I swear I jinxed Hunter. On the 14th I donated $500 to his campaign. On the 17th I voted for him (early). On the 19th he dropped out.
I also disagree with the poster who is blaming Freepers for McCain's win. I was commenting on a particular statement he made in his post.
You mean Fred was running? I would never have known it.
Actually, it was more of a leisurely stroll.
Get bent.
Get bent.
That’s one of the reasons I voted for him on Tuesday. And, it’s also one of the reasons I wouldn’t vote for Huckabee.
We’re screwed and we have been this entire primary, imo. It’s going to be McCain, who I think is really nuts and not a conservative and can’t be trusted, against Hillary. I can’t really post what I think about Hillary. McCain is going to get slaughtered in the general.
We’ll have the first female president and it’s going to be Hillary. That’s depressing, lol.
I’ll bump to your get bent!
Thanks. I hope that somehow results in him getting bent twice.
You want to blame someone? Blame the so-called 'values voters' for latching on to false Hope.
thrice.....your two and my one. : )
Post 394 is for you, too.
