Romney out. Congratulations Freepers on ensuring there was no conservative in the race. (Vanity)

You rallied behind someone who never had their heart in the race and was never a leader in their life (Thompson) or never had a chance in hell (Hunter). What is needed more than anything to win the WH is a drive to do the spade work necessary to get there. So by denying Romney victory in IA and NH and SC, and splitting the field, you now have probably the worst enemy of all - someone the Wonderful Mr. Jim Robinson never saw fit to put a 'truth file' on.
So, nice work.

Nonsense.
There hasn’t been a conservative in the race since Fred quit.

Fred was never in the race....I really don’t think he ever had any intention of winning....sometimes I feel he was just in there as a favor to McCain to split the conservative vote....I agree with the orinial poster.

You supported a flip flopping liberal MA governor who only discovered the term ‘conservative’ in the last 2 years, and you are lecturing those who stood with guys that had some genuine bona fides?
Cmon.

I don’t know who to point fingers at.
I believe McCain’s “personal story” - his brave and selfless military service - was one of the only things that many voters knew about him, and that that was enough.
For some, even a reincarnated Ronald Reagan would have had a hard time beating that.
I’m just calling it like it is, in my opinion.
