You rallied behind someone who never had their heart in the race and was never a leader in their life (Thompson) or never had a chance in hell (Hunter). What is needed more than anything to win the WH is a drive to do the spade work necessary to get there. So by denying Romney victory in IA and NH and SC, and splitting the field, you now have probably the worst enemy of all - someone the Wonderful Mr. Jim Robinson never saw fit to put a 'truth file' on.
So, nice work.
You need to cool down. To be fair to you, I reported your foul language to the admin. That kind of language may fly at the ‘rat sites, but not here.
More than that. They continued to rally around them long after they got out of the race!
They refused to jump onboard and support another candidate. Almost as if they wanted to teach the other conservatives who stood behind another candidate a lesson.
Shame. I blame them more than I blame Huckabee supporters. Atleast Huckabee's still in the race for whatever reason and probably selfish reasons.
You have a hell of a lot of nerve accusing Frepers of not voting or supporting who you this we should have.
Freepers disagree and agree on various political, social and international issues, that’s what makes this site so interesting.
Your vanity is an insult to all of us.
That's not true. And cursing like that only belittles your point.
I edited your foul language for you.
I think you are unstable.
That's 'Governor Willard', thanks.
Wait - you say I have nerve for Freepers not having unity - and then point out that Freepers don't have unity....
My criticism is in choosing poorly. Very poorly, to rally behind a non-candidate just because he had a nice southern accent, a few jokes, and was a conservative, without acknowledging his complete lack of the kind of experience that would make him a good president or a general election candidate.
It doesn't matter. I will be banned soon.
Wow. I am just amazed by this complete meltdown.
Everyone gets a chance to “blow” off some steam today. If you want to cancel your account, just let us know.
Doctor 50mm prescribed adult beverages a few posts back. Maybe the patient overdosed?
MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT!!!
Ugh. Just threw up in my mouth a little.
It will get better..... I hope. Time to find your favorite conservative running for office in your state and get back to work, Pajama Brigade!
That’s ok. I’m logging out for a while. Peace!
I don't want him.
I was a solid Guiliani supporter when I started reading this site and came to know about Hunter. I would have voted for him. I wouldn’t have known about him had it not been for this site. Thomspon was my next choice, then he dropped out. I voted for Romney two days ago and now he’s out (I believed he was the best of those left). I don’t think I can vote for McCain in the General. Someone here said that we all have a limit and he’s mine right now. I respect his military service but I don’t trust him at all.
All of the finger pointing here on Free Republic will truly end after the Fairness Doctrine is fully implemented.
It is time for people to take a realistic look at your republican voters and the candidates that are so far from their values and really ask yourself what the hell was the party doing....deliberately giving this election to the dems?
I listened to it, and you’re the one who’s made up his words. It’s clear what he said.
But go ahead and believe whatever you want. Hope you’re very happy with McCain.
I forgot to add, FYI, Tancredo:
“One reason why Rep. Tancredo chose to endorse Gov. Romney for president is the strong record established by Mitt Romney on the subject of illegal immigration while he served as governor of Massachusetts.
“In 2003, Gov. Romney opposed driver licenses for illegal aliens. Gov. Romney said “Those who are here illegally should not receive tacit support from our government that gives an indication of legitimacy”. He further stated “’If they are here illegally, they should not get driver’s licenses”.
“In 2004, Gov. Romney vetoed a plan that would have permitted illegal aliens to pay the same in-state tuition rate at Massachusetts public colleges and universities as Massachusetts citizens.
“Mike Huckabee governed a conservative state, Arkansas, yet supported driver licenses for illegal aliens, as well as in-state tuition rates and college scholarships for illegal aliens. Mitt Romney, on the other hand, governed a liberal state, Massachusetts, but had the courage to stand up to pro-illegal alien interests in his state and oppose driver licenses and in-state tuition for illegal aliens.”
I wish I had a nickel for every time somebody posted that the time to vote for your choice is in the primaries, not the general.
Is that a lie? Should we all have voted for YOUR choice?
You’re going to have one helluva hangover tomorrow...
