You rallied behind someone who never had their heart in the race and was never a leader in their life (Thompson) or never had a chance in hell (Hunter). What is needed more than anything to win the WH is a drive to do the spade work necessary to get there. So by denying Romney victory in IA and NH and SC, and splitting the field, you now have probably the worst enemy of all - someone the Wonderful Mr. Jim Robinson never saw fit to put a 'truth file' on.
So, nice work.
Waaaaahhhhh....Mommy....Rush didn't say what I wanted him to say.....He's nothing but a big bully....Waaaaaaahhhhhh.........Waaaaahhhhhhhh....Wa
LOL
I normally take no pleasure in seeing establishment RINO trolls getting the zot for talking and acting buffoonish.
You, Matt, may be the exception to the rule.
LOL!!!! Good one!
May your mother in law move in your house.
Thanks for my smile on such a dreary thread. Navel gazing....lol
SIR,
Contrary to SOME PEOPLE’S opinions, the membership of Free Republic does not constitute the entirety of the voting public.
I can assure you that if we were, there would be a different GOP nominee.
OH LORDY Monk you hit on the head even you got good Doctor McCoy there LOLOLOLOL!
It is my fault. I took a poll at the start of the season and it said I should support Hunter, Thompson, Romney in that order and I did and they dropped out in that order.
I must of jinxed them.
From “American Thinkers” Thomas Lifson,
“Relentless media portrayals of the supposed misery inflicted on America by Bush and other conservatives also have taken their toll. Conservatives ably critique mainstream media coverage of the economy, Iraq, immigration, and other issues, but these words rarely reach beyond the world of the internet and talk radio. The vaster reach of the liberal media has created an atmosphere in which conservatives have to fight against a media-spawned general public impression that having the GOP run the White House or Congress was a very bad idea.”
Get your own forum if you don’t like the way this one is run.
In Before The Zot.
Many threads get pulled for being, well, pointlessly vain/vapid/stupid/inflammatory/etc.; when such a thread gets pulled, it’s a “Zot” (as in: lightning bolt from on high vaporizes it). When such a thread appears, lots of people like to get a post in before it gets “zotted”.
A short, vain, poorly worded, trolling, otherwise unpublished, thread blaming FReepers for not sufficiently supporting Mitt because they don’t think he’s a conservative is an ideal candidate for being deleted (zotted) outright.
Ever heard of conviction? I do not vote on popularity. That is what separates me from Lib/Dem Kool Aid drinkers. I’d rather make a statement of conviction than vote on “electibility” like a Dem.
The same instinct that keeps us from jumping off the golden gate bridge just because eveyone else is doing it, is at play in my conservative mind.
