In Britain in the last 8 or 9 years viable mortgages have been the cheapest because of low rates but over the last couple of years and looking into the future I think most people will go for the fixed rate.

I know some people who go for viable and then get hit with a large bill at the end of each year because they do not adjust their payments monthly as their lender only adjusts it at the end of the year. This hits them hard they either have to add the extra money to the payment for the following year, pay the lump sum or add it to the mortgage if they cannot afford to add to the monthly payments, therefore getting into more debt. The fixed rates for 3 or 5 years may initially pay more and also a higher arranging fee but at least they can budget and not worry that in a year’s time they will have to re-mortgage.

Howie just showed Coulter going off the deep end (imho) with her, I will campaign for Hillary. Hugh says Ann is completely wrong on this, and I agree with him.

Howie talks about how the MSM is in bed for McCain; and Hugh says indeed they are.

Howie Kurtz wonders if we are just mad at McCain because he doesn’t always “toe the party line.” They just do not understand that conservatives actually believe in the Consitution and silly nuisances like that.

They don’t understand Rush either. They think he should want the Republican to win no matter who it might be.

The dem blogger on Reliable Sources talks about how likable McCain is and how relaxed he seems on the late night talk shows. I guess she hasn’t seen some of his other performances.

Well, traditionally, that’s how Rush has worked. Prior to a few weeks ago he spent 90% of his time trashing Democrats and liberal policy. It was only when Huckabee started talking trash about Limbaugh that he started talking about the actual race.

So the annointing of McCain prior to his forth comming Media directed slaughter by Clinton Inc has commenced.

Does anyone who has watch John McCain over the last 8 years really think he is going to fight with his good friends John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and Russ Feingold over the war?

Ever heard of John McCain’s Baker Commission? Plan to close Gitmo? Plan to extend US Constitutional protections to Terrorists?

Over Judge Appointments? Ever heard of John McCain’s Gang for 14?

What has McCain ever done about Fed Spending but talk a good game?

Yet we have seen McCain fight tooth and nail for disastrous Anti Conservative legislation. McCain-Finegold, McCain-Kennedy and McCain-
Leiberman

So basically what the so called “Conservative” pundits are itelling us is ignore the McCain record, ignore his habit of twisting in the wind with every new political breeze and trust that the John McCain of the early 1990s will suddenly emerge to replace the John McCain of the last 10 years once he wins the WH.

Conservatives absolutely must stop McCain even if it means enduring a Clinton 2 Administration.

At least with a Leftist Administration the GOP Establishment would finally realize they must actually advance our agenda rather then be Democrat Lite if they want our votes. Right now they hold Conservatives in contempt. They think “We can do anything we want and the sheep will show up and vote for us”.

At some point, Conservative are either going to have to make a stand or quit being Conservatives. The time is now. The way to stop it is to make sure McCain is never elected President.

This is what the Party Uber Alles types have got to learn. At some point Conservatives are going to make a stand. We have to teach the Republican Establishment that there are lines they cannot cross. John McCain is that line.

Politically Hillary and McCain are virtually the same. They may have minor difference on this issue or that but ideologically they have the same authoritraian big Govt mindset.

In 2000 Conservatives were so desperate to control the Congress and the Presidency we grit our teeth and accepted Bush had to move Left. So since we were still getting about 70% of what we wanted we made peace with it.

Now, with McCain, the GOP Establishment are telling us “Hey if we want to win we got to more 35% father Left”. If Conservatives accept that, then in 2010, they will tell us “Hey we got to move 15% father Left to win” and the same in 2012-2014 etc etc etc forever.

The Party Uber Alles types have got to be taught a lesson. The lesson is that we actually want our political agenda advanced. We are not willing to become Democrat Lite just to keep THEM in office. The time for that stand is now. The person who best represents this leftward drift in the GOP is McCain. He must be defeated either in the primary or in the General Election

“Not a word! Maybe we just dreamed that the caucuses were happening.”

Maine wasn’t news because every vote is non binding. It was nothing more than a straw poll. No delegates were won that are binding to any candidate.

HuffPo apparently was making a big deal about Bennett giving money to McCain and Romney and saying essentially that Bennett should no longer be allowed on air on CNN. CNN said BS but that they should have identified those contributions. HuffPo is on news stations all the time, how much money (in terms of her posts at HuffPo) has she given to democrats. Typical double standard from the libs.

If there is a brokered convention, McCain will be the nominee. He is the choice of the Party Establishment. They actually are dumb enough to believe that polling data, 9 months before an election, can determine which candidate can win.

9 months ago Rudy G was the only one who could beat Hillary in all the national polls. Where is he now?

That is the same place the GOP will be in Nov 2008 if John McCain is their nominee.

Or how about that financial chick, calling Bush a "monkey in the middle?"

What did she mean by that? Is she referring to maybe G.W. will be serving between 2 Clintons? God forbid that should happen

Everyone knows that her husband is known as a pile of dog crap between 2 Bushes.

It’s the Libs and the DBM trying to be clever in their “protest” of the President.

They all snicker to themselves when they say “Mr. Bush” then in the next breath refer to Billy Jeff as “President Clinton”.

(Sorry about the hit and run posting today, but I am at drill.) The DBM still can't get over the fact that Bush was elected TWICE, even with all the BS they were reporting. Just like dan raTHer's fake but accurate report about the President's military service. They can refer to BJ as President, but to me, he will always be known as "The impeached".

The reset of us see them as idiots.

That is a slam at all the idiots in the world. Yet, they keep wondering why their veiwership and "dead tree" editions are falling like lead balloons.

McDole vs. Clinton, getting out the ‘hate’ Clinton vote is the only way McDole wins, Coulter campaigning for Clinton could mean more ‘hate’ Clinton vote turns out, it’s a no win for Ann.

That McCain’s biggest problem. He talks a good game but we are suppose to believe the talk and ignore his disastrous anti Conservative Record.

McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Feingold, McCain-Leiberman.

Just what has McCain ever done for Conservativsm but talk about it?
