The Talk Shows
Sunday, February 3rd, 2008
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz. and Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Republican strategists Mary Matalin and Mike Murphy; Democratic strategists Bob Shrum and James Carville.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Barack Obama, D-Ill.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., and former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.; Ralph Nader, consumer advocate and former presidential candidate.
London Times printed the Mrs. McCain story, not New York.
Like an interviewer might have said to Tony Blair Prime Minister but never Prime Minister Blair. Usually though most of them being left wing were on first name terms and it was often just plain Tony.
IS HE “POWER MAD” OR JUST PLAIN “MAD”?
I attended a small meeting in Boston when Mitt was governor. Murphy looks like an unmade bed :-) I guess it’s a style thing.
Agree completely.
I, unlike many on this thread, will hold my nose and vote for McCain if he is the nominee. Reason being I cannot imagine our brave men and women in uniform being led by Commander in Chief Hillary or Obama.
I will write in Fred Thompson if McCain were to pick The Huckster as VP. No candidate for high office gives me the creeps like The Huckster. I distrust him completely.
I didn’t misunderstand you, TR. I understand that you are against such boorish behavior. I daresay all of us on this thread are.
I just wanted to use the opportunity to mention yet another gaffe by the fine, even-tempered McCain.
so far I’m managed to make the man look like a Lib but hey, I am only mentioning what this fine, even-tempered fellow, himself, did.
And you think he’s got a chance to win? This is the best the Republicans could come up with out of 300 million people?
Fred Thompson was in the race.
Thompson was hacking away with Huckabee leaving an opening for McCinsane and Romney to sail past.
The announcement of the McCain coronation just may have been a bit premature.
^^^^^^
Won’t that be terrific! Perhaps, the reality of McCain will appear to many of Tuesday’s voters - the ones who hoped for Thompson to rise up or for Hunter to get traction, in other words, for any thinking Republican.
****
Howie Kurtz is getting ready to discuss “Is msm already lined up for John McCain?”
CNN is milking the Limbaugh segment for all it can get, I think it’s next.
You’re right: you got the politicians in PC-mode trying to get people with a marginal ability to afford a mortgage and the propensity to spend on crap to get a mortgage; an American citizenry with no understanding of economics (95%); and the lobbyist working the tri-state big-six dem senators.
Ahhh...LOL! I’m on the same page with you now Fish.
I find myself wondering the same thing about whether this is the best we could come up with.
I think you and I BOTH know the answer to that.
Oh and IMHO...you didn’t have to make him look like a Lib...he’s done that well enough on his own over the years.
What’s you’ve done is put the icing on the cake. :D
LOL. CNN has the Rush 08 segment.
I just love it.
This is another reason why he is not Presidential material because you cannot have a mental block on any issue you have to be open to all ideas and positions not go back on your word or go against your own principles but be willing to listen to all views and this shows McCain cannot and is not willing to.
“CNN is milking the Limbaugh segment for all it can get, I think its next.”
They have to do something to generate ratings.
Hugh Hewitt is on with Howie.
Thanks Mo1, this is better than what I was planning on doing. I think I’ll print a few copies for our caucus this Tuesday and hand them out.
I don’t know what everybody else is watching, but McLame is on Face the Nation right now. Lot’s of free air time. Next guest - Obama. McCain talking now about the economy like he knows what he’s talking about, lol. I can’t watch this nonsense.
Thanks for sharing.
“Brit brings up the fact that Romney has the right message, meets the requirements, etc., but that the conservative base didnt get behind Romney until it was too late.”
I think the conservative vote was too split....not that Romney didn’t do enough. Conservatives split their votes.
I haven’t turned on the tube yet, is there a bury Romney effort going on in the MSM today? I expect that, and for McPissed to be shown wearing a halo.
