McCain is nuts.

I think that says it all.

Our best shot: 1) Out McCain on every issue in the primary process. Really hurt the old coot. If he ends up with the nomination it’s all out in public anyway and may deflect the impact of it when the Dems attack him; 2) Vote Huckabee to try to drive this to a contested convention in which McCain rose but is now clearly falling in the polls so that the delegates don’t just go McCain as the most popular candidate and the guy with the momentum.

Greg F’s great plan!

Gee - I wonder why the leftist media and so many top democrats have been taking the time to tell us what a wonderful Republican candidate McCain will be and why he is the only one that can beat their candidate.

Isn't it nice of them?

"How about a ‘scratch and sniff’ mailer for a direct mail effort. I can think of several odors that would convey the opinion I have of him being our nominee come election day."

Care to elaborate, my friend? (The *popular*, chosen format's to start with "year" & accomplishment. ;^)

"Disclaimer: I love this man and the sacrifices he made to serve our country. But I think any of that qualifies him to be President. "

Make no mistake as a veteran myself I respect the sacrifice(s) the Senator's made on behalf of our republic, it speaks for itself and is beyond question.

My position is NOT to smear this man because should he get the nomination the quisling mediots will do enough to finish him off before he even gets started.

Unfortunately all the GOP will suffer, because they saw only what they wanted to see.

...therein, lies my concern.

That is hopefully not true.

It would probably help if I got all the words in my sentences! Some words can be left out and it really doesn’t change the meaning of the sentence or the idea that’s needs to be conveyed. “Not” is NOT one of those words.

In a nutshell, regardless of how much I admire and respect John McCain for his service to our country, I do NOT consider him someone who should be president. There’s a vast difference between what’s need to excel in those fields.

As for the scratch and sniff, rotten eggs or some form of cheeses would be great odors to express how little I think of him as president.

Better? Sorry for the lost word. You never want to let me order for you at a restaurant!

Those are tax increases that happened on Reagan’s watch.

If McCain isn’t a conservative, then Neither is Reagan.

Your welcome. The MSM seems to have decided they can determine who is our nominee and IMO everyone needs a reminder of why he is NOT a Conservative candidate! I would be ashamed to have a record that could prompt that long of a list of non-Conservative activities.

"Better? Sorry for the lost word. You never want to let me order for you at a restaurant!"

HA!!
No problemo. ;^)

Y'know I was just perusing the board and lo' & behold came across a thread whereby the discussion was on what really happened while the senator was a POW.

Now I seem to recall hearing scuttlebutt along those lines, way back; but, it's all too fuzzy for to remember clearly.

Supposedly there's a website called, "Vietnam Vets Against John McCain" or something close to it.
The allegation(s), by veterans who were there, I find more than disturbing.
The implication(s) being there're powers-that-be behind this man's candidacy, and it's sobering as hell.

One thing's for certain.
If there's so much as a single grain of truth to ANY of said accusations against McCain & his time spent in that POW camp our quisling media will have NO compunction whatsoever using it to destroy the man, and the GOP along with it.
Knowing the traitorous MSM SOBs as I do, they have to be salivating at the very thought.

AFTER he' secured the nomination & has it all sewed up, only then will we hear this stuff, too. Be inundated 24/7 with leading stories of either the Keating 5 or his alleged cowardice while in that POW camp.

The Liberal-Socialist quisling media are as we talk gearing up to have a virtual, unprecedented field day. Take that to the bank. ;^)

I pray to God I'm wrong.

...my gut's telling me, otherwise.

Oh??

You really --really-- need to meet someone & discuss [that] with him.

...I'll just leave you two, alone. ;^)

Someone needs to grab Michael Medved by the hair of the head and make him read this article word for word on his show.

Michael Medved - if you lurk here at all, which I doubt - what do you have to say about this? It's a detailed, documented POINT BY POINT refutation of your lame propping up of McCain.

I think your gut is right on target. But what to do? If he is exposed now the MSM will pretend to become inflamed that a WAR HERO is being attacked, but after he is nominated they will suddenly “discover” the truth and lead the charge.

You said: “His record bears repeating since he is being “selected” for us.”

Yes, the MSM must be in the heights of Nirvana right now. Not only in the DP running a Socialist(no matter which one it is)but through their influence and manipulation, the RP is also running one.

McLAME must be defeated!!!

"I think your gut is right on target."

Yea, I'm truly afraid of that.

"But what to do?"

Got me, my friend.
In a sane[r] world I'd have thought the GOP, our party, would've thoroughly vetted all our choices longggggg before it ever got to this point & would've been wrong about that, too.

"If he is exposed now the MSM will pretend to become inflamed that a WAR HERO is being attacked..."

An excellent observation concerning their attack strategy, if the right goes after him on valid grounds.

"...but after he is nominated they will suddenly “discover” the truth and lead the charge."

Caught between a rock & a hard place describes us on the right which isn't only completely unnecessary.

...it stinks.
