The only reason needed not to support Huckabee, HE IS NOT CONSERVATIVE. Gee that applies as well to McCain and Romney.

I’m with Jim Robinson. What about a Republican General Convention in the summer and no clear winner! What if after the 3rd vote, all of the delegates were free and could vote for someone who has not been sullied, with millions of sound bytes, video clips and things that so easily can be taken out of context. I think there are a lot of candidates that are GREAT, but who wants to rigors of the campaign trail, having to face off with vicious competition. Someone that could unite the party, that didn’t have baggage of comments like Voodo Economics.

Well, at least Huckabee’s always been a consistent, pro-life social conservative. The others have just discovered it.

Aside from the fact that the idea of Elderly Rage Boy or Mr. Liberal Mormon Bishop as president of the US is too freaky for words, I want a pro-life person who is going to appoint pro-life justices. Huckabee is the only one I think I could trust. Plus, after the dismal performance of the others last night, he’s the only one who even looks sane.

But unlike the others he is good on the 2nd Amendment so over the other two it would be Huck after Paul. Would be Fred but we all know how that turned out.

He is conservative. He's been painted as a liberal by the Romney people, but a lot of that wasn't true. See Factcheck.org's December write-ups on the falsehoods in Romney attacks on Huckabee.

“The only reason needed not to support Huckabee, HE IS NOT CONSERVATIVE. Gee that applies as well to McCain and Romney.”

Here is another fine mess we have gotten ourselves into... sigh.

McCain hates us, (as do we him ;} - Huckabee, imho, is WAY too meanspirited, and slimy to be classified as a “good, Christian man”, and Romney, well... He says the right things MOST of the time, but can we - should we believe him? At this point, my gut says yes. The stakes are so high, and all the alternatives are simply wholly unacceptable to me.

I guess even conservatives will sell out for the socialist when push comes to shove.

Me, none of them work. If conservatism survives, it does not buy into any more of this nose holding thing.

Huck can’t win anyway. He already sacrificed himself on the McCain altar.

Hey, folks, the candidate has and was chosen. Vote for him if you dare.

Huck also has no foreign policy experience or business experience and doesn’t believe in evolution.

That makes him the worst of those choices, in my opinion.

JimRob, I'm sure you have seen the anti-Huck posts, mostly by my Conservative friends on the Arkansas board here.

I have my reasons for not backing him...his anti-smoking push for Arkansas, his stance on illegals, raising taxes here, and a couple more. Taxes and anti-smoking being the top.

But I just learned something on the raising taxes. Huck raised taxes in Arkansas only a fraction percentage-wise that Romney did! That fact alone put him far above Romney in my book!

It will come as a shock to my Arkansas friends, but The Huck just very well may get my vote Tuesday!

A few too many “if’s” for me.

We are in a poor position this election. Don’t know if I can gamble on “maybe’s”.
