Medved on McCain: 'Rush Acting Like a Liberal'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Michael Medved has hurled the ultimate insult at Rush Limbaugh -- that he's acting like a liberal. According to Medved, Rush is thinking with his emotions, not his mind, when it comes to his criticism of of John McCain.

McCain supporter Medved appeared on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show this evening.

Dear Rush:
I know that you or your staff are freepers.
I know that there is a chance that you’ll read this.
You are right.
They are wrong.
It is time for the Republican party to stand or fall based on their own merits.
“You said after the 2006 election that you would no longer carry water for the Republican party. They were warned.
By the next election you will have the right to say, “I told you so.”
McInsane is Hillary Lite. If the Republicans choose him as their candidate, they deserve to be destroyed.

PS: Stop accepting callers that complain about you not backing their candidate. They’re childish and boring.”

I am with you Ranger, Rush is the only one with balls that is calling out the RINO crowd for an open brawl in the middle of the street!

Good for him!

Medved was completely unlistenable to about last August after his illegal alien-loving amnesty bill crashed down hard. The kooks that he has for callers became less entertaining very fast after that. And McCain is his guy. There are other people to listen to. He might find that out.

I have stopped listening to Medved, but I just turn off the radio because O’reilly is the only other person that we get at that time.

I get Sean Hannity or Dr. Laura from noon to 3 PST and probably more. Too much RF interference to pull in more.

All these people, besides Medved, should remind everyone that the democrat party left Reagan. Then he walked away. It's an important fact.

I've been impressed with Medved during this election cycle. He's been fair. He hasn't been in the tank for anyone in particular (unlike Hannity and Rudy) and he has had (or offered to have) all the candidates on his show.

At this point, he's got more credibility than any of them. And I say this having ripped the guy early in the election cycle.

Well done, Michael!

The more Rush and others complain bitterly that McCain isn’t a true conservative (true as that is), the easier he (they) make it for libs and moderates upset with Hill and/or Obama to vote Republican - pretty clever, Rush......

I think Rush has been way over the top with his rantings against McCain.

Exactly. And the guy they're stampeding their listeners to is even less conservative than McCain.

Rush totally loses me on this one. Sorry big guy.

The problem is libs and mods won’t vote for McCain in the general election in enough numbers to make up for the conservatives he turned away. And conservatives are not going to donate or volunteer for McCain. He will be very poor compared to the democrats and will lose hard, costing many other elected people their jobs for his own vanity.

Just wait and see who will donate to a McCain general election campaign and volunteers their time to promote it.

I'll be too busy to even vote.

I could care less. If a good, conservative 3rd party candidate emerges, I'll support him. Otherwise, I'll vote for McCain. But I won't campaign for him, won't donate to him, and won't try to convince others to vote for him.

And if McCain picks a loser like Rudy or Romney as his running mate, I won't even vote for him.

"Reagan was also a former democrat, einstein.

And he said the democrat party left him. It's all at the Reagan Library on video tape. Go there and watch it.

You know....I think Medved is a nice guy. But I don’t listen to a word he says: I’ve read his movie reviews so I know he can’t think straight.

McCain is a liberal @ss and though Medved is usually thoughtful and Rush can defend himself, saying ANYTHING good about McCain is a joke.

The fact that McCain appeals to a broader base is a plus, not a negative, just like it was for Reagan.

"Appeals to a broader base" is leftwing mediaspeak for "appeals to left leaning republicans and independents". It certainly doesn't refer to conservatives. I see you've bought their line hook line & sinker.

Yeah, and the democrat party obviously left Medved, too. Perhaps you didn’t read what I was responding to. Go there and read it. I’ve been to the Reagan library several times, by the way, BobS.

“Reagan was also a former democrat, einstein.”

In 15,000,000 years Medved would never morph into anything remotely resembling a conservative that was 1/10oth as strong as Reagan was, Ms. Einstein. Reagan had words and deeds, Medved has only words, words which betray his claims of being a conservative.
Reagan walked the conservative walk, Medved just talks it, and gets paid for it which is the ONLY REASON he talks it. RINOs listen to RINOs like Medved so it’s no surprise they’ll vote for one too.
