Dear Michelle,
I attended the townhall meeting earlier today in Polk City and asked John McCain:
Your Hispanic Outreach Campaign Advisor, Juan Hernandez, has written a book referring to illegal immigrants as “New American Pioneers.” Hernandez has also stated that illegal immigrants who use social security numbers of American citizens really don’t steal, they have no choice but to make up a number. Are you aware of his statements? Do you agree with him? If not would you consider removing him from your staff?
John McCain answered that he supported Juan Hernandez because he holds the same views as he (McCain) on other issues. He says that he determines his positions and Hernandez agrees with him, not the other way around. He appeared to be unaware of the specific positions of Hernandez that I related.
I would say I got a non-answer. I did not get a video but all the media were present.

McAmensty sucks, Huckaliar is an out and out Christian Socialist (IMHO) and neither man should ever be within spitting distance of the oval office.

Gotta love it! I swear McCain is not even in his OWN loop.. <<<
That's my problem with him. He had no idea, when questioned, that Z Visa's were "de facto amnesty". And he was the author of the damn bill.
When he flubbed a question the other day on the economy, his excuse, after spending 20+years in the Senate, was " I'm not as up on economic issues as I ought to be"!
I love the guy for his service to the US, but he is no longer Presidential material. He's lost a step in the "sharpness" quotent!

Tomorrow let them hear the displeasure in having a MEXICAN CITIZEN advising a United States Presidential contender! As Obama says about clintoon: "His statements are not factual correct."
He was born in the city of Fort Worth, Texas, of a Mexican father and a Texan mother. He completed his undergraduate studies at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and received his Masters and Ph.D. degrees at Texas Christian University. Juan Hernandez has dedicated himself to the study of Mexico-U.S. relations for many years. He has been a professor at various universities, creating a Center for U.S.-Mexico Studies at the University of Texas, Dallas.

Can’t we just band together and strip his affiliation with the party?

“See what happens when you and cohorts poison voters minds about Mike Huckabee, Michelle?”
Yeah, we learn the truth about the Huckster. His position is that we should bring “all God’s children into the light”. He’s just another lousy amnesty RINO too. I’ll be sure and thank Michelle that you reminded me.
To: mrsmel
Doughty, I have hovered back and forth, feeling the same way that you do.
I have pled both sides of this arguement, so I know where you are coming from. I voted for a real RINO in Arnold Schwarzenegger. There was also a brown separatist on the ballot, so I went the lesser of two evils. It's more complex that that, but that's what it came down to for me. My state has no breathing room left. We either get the ball rolling back where it belongs or we're going to loose it. All we need right now is some blithering idiot to suggest that the reason we're in this shape is because of all the money we send off to Washington, and add to it that we would do better on our own. Then we're only one initiative away from some very serious trouble. I don't want a nation named Aztlan, but I cannot speak for the rest of my state's citizens.
Frankly, my biggest concern is this (Im afraid that Im going to sound paranoid here)the Second Amendment.
That's a justified concern. Hillary and the left would love to abolish our second amendment rights. I will tell you that I am not convinced our side isn't just as dangerous on that issue. How many republicans leaders do you know of that spoke out against the assault weapons ban? How about the D.C. Saturday night special ban?
You see, there are many on our side who think there are plenty of 'reasoned' gun control measures. We have literally hundreds of gun control measures on the books, if not thousands in our nation. Have you seen any republican leaders campainging on overturning a single one of them? I haven't.
So far (except for Giulini), the RINOs have supported it (to the best of my knowledge-PLEASE correct me if Im wrong).
I think most of them mouth support. When push comes to shove, they aren't advocating we abolish any gun laws, and when one of them starts arguing the 'reasoned' gun laws, you know you're in trouble. Romney signed a reasoned gun law that abolished the asault weapons in his state. To be fair, that bill also extended the conceal carry license by a couple of years before it had to be renewed. It wasn't a total blow-out, but it did wind up bannig a whole class of weapons that are hardly ever involved in shooting fatalities. So why not point that out and defend gun rights? You tell me.
If they grab our guns, it wont matter what issues we care about-we wont be able to ever back them up.
Exactly right. And do you know why that is? Tell me, do you seen any democrats trying to act like a republican to sound reasoned to republicans? No you don't, but you'll see republicans all the time trying to sound like a democrat so they can sound reasoned to the left.
The left goes for what it wants, to heck with the republicans. The right is afraid to go for what they want because it will allienate the left.
There you have it. Our agenda is never implemented because our leaders are too busy trying to appease the left, to every do what they should with regard to conservative policy.
Here's a little test for you. When is the last time you heard a democrat say something like, "Look we've gone too far. We need to repeal a few of these unreasonable gun laws." Okay, now, when was the last time you heard a republican say, "We have to be reasoned, and some weapons should be banned. We don't need those on the street."
We don't move back to the right because we seldom if ever elect anyone who will move us in that direction.
The problem is that we ask RINOs to represent us. And part of the time they do. All too often they join the democrats to take us down. I think it's time we put an end to that. It's time to just say no to RINOs.
If we don't, we'll just hand this nation off to the leftists like we already have for the last twenty years.
Just look at Britain, for one, since their guns were taken, never to be given back (barring drastic action), and the rising Muslim population there.
And that is going to happen here too. We are moving as many Muslems into our nation as we possibly can. Give me one good reason why.
We are selling out Christianity. We are setting up a hostile environment to Christians as fast as we can.
That country is screwed. I just cannot let a gun-grabbing rat get into office. With our weapons, at least all things are still possible (dont mean to sound melodramatic, but its the truth).
I would urge you to watch some of the cable channels and look at what our military is capable of. You and I couldn't last five seconds against them. Our guns won't stop the government. It may protect us from neighbors. I'm no longer convinced of that either. It takes an asault weapon to defend yourself these days. The rioters and gangs will have them. If you don't, you're done for.
The govenment doesn't care about this. They don't use all the tools to end gangs, so they must be fairly happy to have them around.
We are being disarmed, because we are not going to go silently into an American Union and that's what the politicos on both sides of the isle want.
If you think any of these folks actually care about our sovereignty, and the safety of US citizens, you haven't been watching what is taking place.
We're on the auction block. Guns or no, without a conservative in there we're done. And as long as the RP can get us to vote for RINOs, they will continue to provide the best ones money can buy, for our voting displeasure.

If not a majority, a deal within the party.
Not many decades back, this is how the conventions were until the media picked some of the candidates.

I would imagine there was something that could be done, but the party leadership in Washington, D.C. isn’t that much different than John. We’re looking at folks who are perfectly willing to go along to get along with the likes of Ted Kennedy. You don’t hear much of a whimper out of them on the subject. That’s why I am no longer a loyal subject of the republican rhelm.
I want a conservative. As a republican, that’s what I expect to vote for.

See what happens when you and cohorts poison voters minds about Mike Huckabee, Michelle? What in the world are you talking about? Huckleberry is thoroughly unqualified to be President, in any other time his candidacy would be seen as a a joke, a GOP version of Dennis Kucinich. Telling the truth about Huckleberry and McCain is imperative...there's too much at stake to let either of these assclowns anywhere near the WH.

Really good post, thanks for further food for thought. As I said, I’m still hovering. I’ve also had the argument with myself that if we continue to vote for RINOs because they’ve given us nothing else, they’ll know that they have us over a barrel and that’s all we’re getting forever after. I suppose if things ever got that bad, we’d have to do what we’d have to do, damn the gun laws. And you remind me of a good point, regarding the military.
I’m really torn about the whole thing right now. God knows that I have no enthusiasm for any of them.
When I start getting a real headache from it, I have to remind myself that this world is not my home and these men are not my King anyway, and this was always coming some day.
