The problem I see with your theory is that probably by now over 50 per cent have already voted so what has happened over the last week or so may not have much effect.

If McCain gets the nomination, the Republican Party will have squandered the Reagan legacy down to the last penny.

Not exactly the subject of this thread but I’m watch the McLaughlan Group right now and they are talking about the Stimulus Plan. Remarkably, they all keep referring to the Gov’t “Giving money to the people”. What a crock! More of the same Big-Gov’t New-speak that has been emanating from BOTH sides of the aisle IMO.

It drives me nuts to know that our government thinks handouts are the solution to all our woes.

I've been a bit busy and, thus, out of the loop this week. I'm still surprised none of this talk came to my attention, though.
Carper's gaffe reminds me of what John Edwards said back in 2004 about children (I think in western NC) going cold because they couldn't afford a winter coat. This is despite the fact that the Salvation Army was, and is, experiencing such a glut of winter coats that it can't figure out what to do with them all. We have a huge clothing surplus in the United States.

It is a true low in our nations history that we need “handouts” before a “tragedy” even occurs!!

I posted a couple of weeks ago that this Obama/Hillary feud (which continues to get more vicious) might leave enough opening for the greasy little pig Edwards to slip through.

Nobody questions InSane on his Surge claim. He wanted a Vietnam type force, not a mere 30K troops. He never had any idea of how this Surge would work. He wanted 250,000 troops and a draft.

The MEME out is McCain is going to be back.
Giuliani and Huckster are finished.
Romney is just about the ecconomy therefore the MSM is not sure we are in a recession or if times are bad.
The Clintonistas have thoughroughly pigeon holed and marginalized obama as the merely “black” candidate and the have their black surrogates going out to be racist. (don’t want to touch that analysis)

That’s why I say, Beware the Obama. He is formidable.
