Whoever cast Dustin Hoffman as Bernstein was being pretty damn generous. LOL
“Aw ain’t noways tard!”
We shouldn’t be giving this two bit hack any voice on this forum. He should be ignored completely.
After him saying that Nixon was a crook and Clinton wasn’t anything near as bad as Nixon... this man is a liar. He said he did what was in the best interest of the nation with regard to Nixon, then bent the nation over and had his way with it when it came to Clinton.
I have no respect for this man or Bob Woodward. They are both nothing more than democrat operatives, doing Katharyn Graham’s bidding for a buck.
I can’t see what he’s talking about. She looks the same as ever - that’s even her standard end of primary speech where she talks about the focus shifting to the next state.
I remember how the press wanted to write her off in New Hampshire -its dangerous to do that until the fat lady truly has sung.
Carl Bernstein has had two publicly peak moments — garnering far more than his allotted 15 minutes of fame: first, as the rumpled journalist in the Washington Post’s “Wonderboys Do Watergate,” and then, as the boozy philandering husband of the acid-tongued Nora Ephron, memorialized in the (good) book “Heartburn” and recreated in the (bad) movie of the same name (where Bernstein and Ephron get waspized by Nicholson and Streep).
But now! the British press has let slip CB is about to have his third sweep at stardom, this time, a celebratory breakthrough of his 20-year writer’s block: Knopf
Not to change the topic, but I read that Obama left the state before the Nevada results were announced (victory for Hillary) and may not have given a concession speech either.
Also Carl Bernstein has a long history of commenting and writing negatively about Hillary. Man he looks awful (makes McCain look healthy in comparison)
Want to speak about no class. How about Romney interrupting (thereby causing the networks to switch) right in the middle of McCain’s concession speech in Michigan. Romney was much more obnoxious that night than Hillary tonight.
Anyway, nobody will remember her lack of a concession speech in 48 hours-it’s a total non-issue. Does anybody care about the Romney incident? Nope.
Getting clobbered by Obama will leave a welt on Hillary though.
Jay Cost has a good analysis of South Carolina on real clear politics

I think Karl is shedding his skin, very slowly but in case he needs work in the future. Even he said “and she’s going to have an uphill fight from here in.” For him to say “Up Hill” is monumental.
Cheers!
While I personally believe Hillary is a lying, evil, despicable waste of flesh, time and space - I have to say I got the exactly opposite impression of that clip.
Unless the clip is not what Bernstein was bloviating about, it would appear that there is some sort of agenda being pushed here.
Hillaryland Is Hell, Staffers Say

Despite Hillary Clintons surprising win in the New Hampshire primary, discontent remains the order of the day in Hillaryland, according to an article in the liberal New Republic.
For all of Team Hillarys gifts, it is not known as a happy group, Michelle Cottle writes in the magazine.
Ive never seen a campaign where everyone feels so bad about themselves, says one campaign staffer, echoing others.
That feeling was palpable the morning after Clintons defeat in the Iowa caucuses, when a sad and sorry Team Hillary gathered for a conference call with the candidate, Cottle relates.
After Hillary came on the line, message guru Mandy Grunwald tried to spur conversation by asking staffers if they had any thoughts. No one spoke. After a pregnant pause, Hillary began talking for a few minutes about the campaign. Again, silence.
An angry Hillary finally snarled: This has been very helpful talking to myself and hung up.
Following Iowa, rumors began circulating that there would be a major shakeup in the Clinton campaign staff. Then came the New Hampshire win. But discord remains in Hillaryland, the New Republic article disclosed.
The unease has been spurred in large part by the fear-inducing, high-handed leadership of the advisors known as the Five Grunwald, campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle, top strategist Mark Penn, policy chief Neera Tanden, and communications director Howard Wolfson.
The five, called by Cottle the devout members of Hillaryland, have kept an iron grip on everything from ideas to access.
The staffer deemed most likely to be replaced after Iowa was Penn, according to Cottle.
The reasons are legion: his high profile; his right-of-center politics; his myopic focus on issues; his dismissal of the need for Hillary to get personal and address her likability problem; his unusual dual role as top strategist and pollster; and, of course, his famously rough manner.
New Hampshire brought Penn a reprieve and not everyone in the Clinton campaign was happy about that.
So strong was the desire for change, Cottle writes, that the Granite State miracle, while obviously a godsend, left some staffers deflated as it became clear that the planned overhaul had been derailed.

Thanks Mark. You know what’s interesting about Clinton’s comments? They mirror almost exactly Howard Dean’s meltdown four years ago, when he recounted the states that his campaign would be visiting. If memory serves, he also did that after an important loss. All that was lacking here was for Hillery to let out a blood-curdling scream as did Dean.
p. - praying for the Clinton’s humiliation, at long last.
