Love for Hillary spurs Bill Clinton's attacks on Barack Obama, he says
New York Daily News ^ | Friday, January 25th 2008 | STEPHANIE GASKELL & MICHAEL McAULIFF

Valentine's Day came early this year in Camp Clinton.

Love is the reason Bill Clinton has gone wild on the trail, turning his red-faced rage at Barack Obama's presidential campaign and reporters on a serial basis, he explained Thursday. It was his answer to a female voter in South Carolina who urged him to "stop taking the bait from Obama."

"When I was running, I didn't give a rip what anybody said about me," he said. "It's weird, you know, but if you love somebody and you think that they'd be good, it's harder."

He blasted Obama recently as a closeted Ronald Reagan fan who loves GOP ideas, accusing his campaign of intimidating voters in Nevada and injecting race into the contest.

Clinton's profile in his wife's campaign has risen so high that he accused Obama's team of putting out a "hit job" on him last year in the form of nasty opposition research given to reporters.

Hillary Clinton had no idea what "hit job" he was talking about. "He was thinking about something. You'll have to ask him what he means," she said yesterday, adding that the former President was angry over an Obama aide's "outrageous" comparison of him recently to infamous bare-knuckled GOP campaigner Lee Atwater.

The former First Lady defended her husband's fiery broadsides against Obama.

"We're in a very heated campaign, and people are coming out and saying all kinds of things," she told The Associated Press. "I'm out there every day making a positive case for my candidacy. I have a lot of wonderful people, including my husband, who are out there making the case for me."

Obama kept his finger on the political trigger and put up a radio ad saying Hillary Clinton will "say anything" to get elected.

"This is a tough, well-honed political machine built up over the course of 20 years," he said.

He also said fending off the Clintons will help down the road.

All the mudslinging is "good practice for the Republicans," Obama quipped.

Obama is leading Hillary Clinton in the latest MSNBC/McClatchy South Carolina poll, 38% to 30% - with 36% of white Democrats going for Clinton and 59% of blacks breaking for Obama.

“Love means never having to say you’re sorry,” Bill?

I don't understand why a lawsuit isn't filed citing the22nd amendment for these two...It would be fascinating...You can use their words against them..they ran as "TWO FOR ONE" in 1992, wouldn't it be the reverse right now? I'll do anything for these two not to park their sorry asses in the White House. I saw a clip of her yesterday with that screeching voice, and I spontaneously started crying..Honest...and I don't cry. The thought of her giving the State of the Union just makes my blood boil.

Fellow Republicans, conservatives..PLEASE PLEASE let's get ourselves together here. If she wins, it's our fault.

Sixteen years ago this month, just as Bill was facing his first presidential primaries, a woman called Connie Hamzy told Penthouse magazine that he had propositioned her in a hotel lobby. He acknowledged that he knew her, but denied any impropriety. Hillary's reaction was chillingly succinct: "We have to destroy her story."

Why do women support her? She is merely an enabler to a sexual preditor.

“He blasted Obama...”

Who is he to blast anybody?

Biting a woman during rape is a sign of a serial rapist. Why does the MSM not talk about that? Most of this country is sick and tired of Mr. & Mrs. BITlery.

Hey, even a closeted Reagan fan will hold his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. C’mon Billy Jeff, get that weak stuff outta here.

Did anyone see Lanny Davis on Fox earlier. The nice guy was gone. I think the Clinton campaign has gone thuggish (shut-up-while-I’m-talkin’). No smile on Lanny boy today.

What drool. When you actually pay attention to what this schmuck says, he still sounds like the 14 year-old bubblebutt in the FatBoy jeans who couldn't get a girl if his life depended on it because he had no working boundaries.

I think we have been genuinely lucky to have survived these losers as well as we have.

Did that same love for Hillary spur XXX-42's attack on Juanita Broaddrick?

Yeah, sure, very believable. I remind everyone that two weeks ago in the Time mag issue on love. They included the Clintons in a photo of other modern “loving” couples. If the media can resurrect that image anything is possible.

The serial rapist has to control everythig- his wife, the MSM, the reporters, Obama, anybody who challenges his ticket to power...In return, wonder what the Beach had to promise him to get him to run interference for her?..Ambassador at large to the world on AF 1 1/2 ? with all the flight attendants he wants?, plus all the othr presidential trappings of power..

If she loses SC by 12 % or more it will be a crushing defeat for her..no way she can spin her way out of a loss like that..

Yeah he loves her alright.

He loves the fact that she’s his only possible meal ticket to get back into the White House.

I don’t think Barack Obama is going to ever be President, but he may damn well derail any plans the Clintons have for that.
