Recent evidence shows "the climate crisis is significantly worse and unfolding more rapidly than those on the pessimistic side of the IPCC projections had warned us," climate campaigner and former US vice-president Gore said.

Climate change 'significantly worse' than feared: Al Gore

AlGore to MSM: "HEY!! I'm still significant. Even though it's an old-fashioned winter in most of the US, 'Climate Change' takes that into account. Hey! HEEEY!!! (vote for me for prez!)"

He’s struggling to stay relevant...since Billary and Obama-lama-ding dong are getting to much press these days...

Also don't forget that we do have a real financial crisis that most people are at least somewhat concerned with. Attention whores hate it when people get distracted from their pet causes. Forget all those people losing their homes, and stop looking at your shrinking 401ks, the temperature of the Earth might rise a degree in twenty years!

Al Gore discussing climate change. Kinda makes me wonder how he takes his coffee.

You wonder how the prince of the new-age, Gaia-worshipping envirochondriacs takes his coffee? Are you sure you want to know?

NEWSWEEK: AL GORE NOW WORTH MORE THAN $100 MILLION

[Since 2000, according to published reports, the former veep has transformed himself from a public servant with around $1 million in the bank to a sparkling private consultant with a net worth estimated to be north of $100 million. He’s a senior adviser to Google, a board member at Apple and now a newly minted general partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the Silicon Valley venture-capital firm that made billions investing early in Netscape, Amazon and Google. . .If Gore’s profit-sharing deal is anything like the firm’s other 23 partners, he’s also in line to collect tens of millions of dollars a year. That’s because partners carve up 30 percent of the profits if and when the alternative-energy start-ups that KP supports go public or are sold. . .]

If you lie long enough, and hard enough, some people will believe you.

And, if you're on their side, the media will ignore the contradictory evidence and help you.

If that's so, then why haven't global temperatures changed for the past ten years, Al?

I’m not sure what’s a more frightening possibility - either he knows the truth and still pukes his rhetoric or he actually believes the lies he’s spewing.

Oh, the Goracal is not a moron, unlike most of the AGW koolaid drinkers out there (not counting some portion of scientists who have committed too much of their rep. to the AGW theory and cannot reverse themselves at this point). Therefore, he almost certainly knows the truth of the science. He's just getting desperate to get something, ANYTHING, passed somewhere so that when we start getting cooler due to the solar cycle changes, he can claim credit for it, at least with those koolaid drinkers.

In other words, it's sheer desperation.

"Will the MSM hold him accountable when the dire predictions fail to pan out? "

Conveniently, we've got 50 years. And NOBODY in the mass media, Hollyweed or the UN is brought enough to know that if we WERE to blame, it took us a heckuvalot longer than 50 years to "change" the climate, so it'll take longer than 50 years to make it cold. Or warm. If global warming causes global cooling, aren't we gonna cause catastrophic clobal warming by trying to cool the globe?

The MSM news story inspired by your weather map would probably be something like, “Miami records 3rd hottest January 24th in history.”

"Yeah, it’s much colder and snowier that he would like to have seen. This isn’t helping his credibility. No wonder he’s upset."

A couple of days ago I walked to our local Bakery in the early morning. The temp on the local bank said 7 degrees.

When I got to the bakery several folks were there waiting for orders and pleasantries were exchanged around (small town everyone knows everyone) The new bakery is owned by folks who moved here from California recently.

Someone in the crowd jokingly asked where was AlGore's global warming this Morning and the Gal at the counter (One of the owners) got a serious look on her face and started explaining why global warming was so serious with her final point being if we don't do something soon in 100 years the average temperature would be nearly 2 degrees higher.

There was an uncomfortable quiet in the crowd then an older gentleman in the crowd asked two degrees eh? And the Gal at the counter looked at him directly with all sincerity and said "Yes, Two whole Degrees."

He asked her "So 100 years from today instead of 7 Degrees it would be 9 Degrees?" She again said with all sincerity "Yes".

"OK," he said with a mischievous grin, you can put me down as "Underwhelmed."

Of course everyone in the room broke up giggling. The gal at the counter found a reason to go to the back and check on what donuts were coming up.

Gotta love it.

Everyone around here, even the liberal kids at the local school that my kids know, say they’d be happy to take a little of that global warming we keep hearing about.

That's disappointing. I vote we keep doing whatever we've been doing and speed it up a bit.
