Tom Brokaw says his most conservative friend has told him he might vote for Hillary Clinton. I for one believe the former NBC News anchor. Hillary supporters might indeed constitute the rightward fringe of his friend set.

I have no respect for Tom “former News reader for NBC News” Brokaw, he is a leftist.

Alternative possible explanation: After being nagged, harangued and yelled at by Brokaw for hours, his friend finally said "OK, I might vote for Hillary" just to shut him up, much in the same way you would tell a screaming child "You might get ice cream if you're good" knowing darn well that the little brat is getting a double serving of Brussels sprouts tonight.

I’d rather have a leftist Democrat President that Congress opposes than a leftist RINO that Congress tries to work with and get things done.
There is a school of thought floating around out there that if it comes down to McCain & Hillary (liberal vs. uber-socialist) that it might be better for Hillary to be in the saddle so when things turn to fecal matter, the public will have a clear message who to blame.
Not sayin’ I buy it, but it’s out there.

Exactly; it reminds me of the NY Times drama (or was it food) critic Pauline Kael’s remark in 1980 that she just couldn’t understand how Reagan won “because just everyone I know voted for Carter”. They live in their own (small) universe and we ain’t part of it, no regrets on my part.
