A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 200,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY

Over the past four years we have taken A Few of FR's Finest on a cyber tour of many of the states in this great land of ours; today we are featuring the state of New York.
If you'd like to see the other states we've visited since Mama_Bear took us to "Sweet Home Alabama" on May 23, 2003, just click on each STATE on the map below, and the thread will open in a separate window. (States with a white * have not been profiled yet.)

Good morning, y'all.
Oh boy, a trip to NY. I've got my bag packed and ready to go.
I wouldn't mind living in parts of NY, except it's TOO COLD!

Well, my goodness.. I was posting from IE & didn’t realize I was in Wheelbarrow’s account (He had asked me to send him some things & I did that a few weeks ago & really hadn’t posted from here since.. )
I normally am in Firefox but come here just to usually quickly view the Finest to see the correct colors etc
Both wheelbarrow comments are from me all.. sorry for confusion. Now I have to get out of that account & save it in IE in mine.

After all the states are done perhaps we can on occasion do “Special places in USA”
I would think that The Grand canyon, NYC, the Keys, Niagara are just a few that could be hi lighted.

I think most of my Niagara pix are on one of many external hard drives & no time now to check.
Most of my NY time has been spent in the NW part of state..

Beautiful photos Dolly!
I haven’t been up to Niagara in years. It’s so beautiful up there. I’d love to take a trip up to Lake George too. When I was younger, I use to just drive upstate and enjoy the mountains/farms. I attempted skiing. We’ll leave it at that. ;) Life gets so busy I really need to plan to do that trip again someday soon.

Yes and those places and more. They are just so lovely. I always said to hubby when we retire, if we travel, traveling the states is what I would like to do. There are so many beautiful places to visit. I always wanted to see the Grand Canyon. I have always wanted to see Mount Rushmore.
