WASHINGTON - A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.
The study concluded that the statements "were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses."
The study was posted Tuesday on the Web site of the Center for Public Integrity, which worked with the Fund for Independence in Journalism. White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said he could not comment on the study because he had not seen it.
The study counted 935 false statements in the two-year period. It found that in speeches, briefings, interviews and other venues, Bush and administration officials stated unequivocally on at least 532 occasions that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or was trying to produce or obtain them or had links to al-Qaida or both.
"It is now beyond dispute that Iraq did not possess any weapons of mass destruction or have meaningful ties to al-Qaida," according to Charles Lewis and Mark Reading-Smith of the Fund for Independence in Journalism staff members, writing an overview of the study. "In short, the Bush administration led the nation to war on the basis of erroneous information that it methodically propagated and that culminated in military action against Iraq on March 19, 2003."

ANY group with a name that starts with “Center for...” usualy means Ralph Nader or one of his clones.
Title should really be “Leftist PC Morons Just Can’t Get a Clue”
...who evidently have never heard of Halabja or Ansar al-Islam. I don't think this study need be taken very seriously.
Guess his daughter cut back on the subsidy checks to his supporters preferring to keep the family forture for the future.

Ooooooo. These are non-profit journalist organizations. Why, that must mean they are beyond reproach. There’s no possibility that left-wing ideological bias (code for “outright lying”) could be their modus operandi. I love how this is considered “breaking news” on all the search engine websites. Nope. No bias there. /sarcasm/

One of them appears to be another Soros front group:

This is so dishonest that I seriously want to strangle the person writing it.
I know they’ve done zero investigations of the matter other than to parrot the Dem/MSM line. There’s been countless shells and other WMD related materials and the links to al Qaeda are clear as day to those not blinded with BDS like the AP. I’ve documented HUNDREDS of members of Saddam’s regime caught working with al Qaeda and many in custody have already admitted they worked together pre invasion.
Suck frikkin liars. AAAHHHHHHH
Center for Public Integrity has been, as could be expected, funded by George Soros.
Not surprising.

The Clintons Lied People Died. And America looks forward to making the same mistake again despite a Constitutional limit on the number of terms a president can serve in office.
The French, Germans, and Russians who were BOUGHT OFF by Saddam Hussein in the oil for food scam should have been hung after the war with Saddam’s Iraq ended (and yes that Iraq war is done, we fight a different enemy now ALONGSIDE Iraq, not against it).
These people are so shameless in their attempts to influence politics with BS “polls” and “studies.” This ranks up there with the Lancet story
I’ve been calling the AP, check AP.org - it is still their lede story, and letting them know this is a Soros group and then calling out the legitimacy of the story and the outright bias and dishonesty and it’s really getting to them.
