It will be interesting to see if Fred endorses anyone. I’ll bet he doesn’t. That would lead me to believe that Fred is hoping for a VP nod from the eventual nominee, whomever that may be. Romney/Thompson?

no way will he endorse the rino

An endorsement of McCain will put the lie to his conservative credentials.
To: DogandPonyShow
He already endorsed him by getting in the campaign to assure some of his early victories. I’m sorry nobody runs that bad of a campaign on purpose.

Good read.I prefer Thompson, but i can live with Romney for four years. How bout a ticket of Romney/Thompson? Don't believe Thompson will endorse anyone. If he should decide it will be Romney. Romney/Thompson. That would be good by RATS.

If Fred endorses McCain there will have to be a special Freepathon to repair all the damage caused by exploding head fragments.
I always liked Fred, but never drank any of the FredHead kool-aid because I could see this day coming.

If he endorses McCain he is no conservative.
To: DogandPonyShow
That’s a pretty reasonable guess.
It was reported that Thompson stood with McCain when McCain announced McCain-Feingold campaign reform bill(which a lot of people of selective memory on)....and McCain and Thompson has never really gone at each other,...and they both claim to want to talk straight to people.
So, for the Fredheads out there, he would be a heartbeat away.
Neither candidate is dynamic but I believe the is a sense of national security that will be adequately addressed (now with McCain wanting to focus on border security). The southern and western candidates (Tennessee being southern) being successful for president over the past 40 years:
Bush
Clinton
Bush
Reagan
Carter
Nixon

Heard a report today that someone high up in the Thompson campaign that the “story” that Thompson was going to endorse McCain was BS started from the McCain camp.
