Think twice before robbing the senior citizens of Shenandoah. Monday morning an 85-year-old grandfather shot a 20-something-year-old man he believed to be stealing a Honda Accord.
...
The owner told the alleged car thief he was armed and ordered him out of the car. ''I don't car,'' responded the alleged thief.
The two engaged in a ''vicious fight,'' Moreno said.
During the confrontation, Jauregui -- father of the car owner -- aimed and fired one shot.

Another armed senior citizen stops a crime in a neighborhood where the senior citizens are tougher than the thugs that prey on them.

Stop preying on the generation that saved Europe from the Nazis. They’ve seen real evil before.

"Don't tase me, bro'" is a bit old now.
Perhaps "I don't car" can take its place.

It is VERY encouraging to read the long thread of comments that accompany the article. About 95% are of the “Go, Grandpa!” and “We need more of this!” variety.

I just love this part, too!
As for the man who was shot: Police believe he snatched a woman’s purse in the neighborhood a half-hour earlier.
The shooting occurred about 9 a.m. in the 1300 block of Southwest 14th Street, only blocks from where Marta Suarez, a Cuban track star from the 1930s, helped police nab a purse snatcher in September.

Pistol packing grandpa.
On of the Miami TV stations says he was a police officer in Pre-Castro Cuba. I'll bet he's blasted banditos before.

“Pistol packing grandpa” just thinning the herd.
If you try and hurt a mans grandkids, there is a high probability he will shoot you, particularly if he lives in a red state.

''He was not protecting property but was protecting bodily injury to his own grandson. The investigation is preliminary but it appears he might be covered under that law,'' Moreno said. What's with this? Trying to find a reason to justify this shooting? This is BS. He was justified, no ifs ands or buts about it.

''I don't car,'' responded the alleged thief. Crack or Meth?

So was my Mom (until she passed away in October at the age of 89). I asked my sister who Mom voted for in the second election for Bill Clinton and my sister said she thought Mom "forgot" to vote. Mom never "forgot" to vote in her life (I think she couldn't bring herself to vote for a Republican but was too ashamed to vote for Bill Clinton).
There's a lot of people who have lost track of where the Democrat Party has gone in recent years...

Pistol packing grandpa. I could have missed it, but I didn't see anything that indicated that Grandpa used a handgun. The grandson had a pistol, but maybe when el abuelo came running out of the house, he'd decided to take a carbine or rifle to the pistol fight.

Funny you would say that about your Mom. My 86 year old sister called me today to tell me she had sent in her ballot. She voted for Edwards because she hates sHIllery and I suppose she is also a closet racist. Then she floored me when she said she would vote for McLame in the General. My sister was a WAC in WWII.
