Does anyone still think that we the people have any real influence on the self-serving interests of our own Federal government? If you believe so, please don't bother to read further.
You need not be a political junkie to see that every time Congress is in session, it takes away more and more of your inherent rights with their socialist programs. I'm not going to preach to this choir, because I know the readers of this forum are probably THE most politically and socially astute persons on the Internet.
But I do have one question for you beyond the rhetoric that the candidates espouse:
What is their stand on "illegal immigration", and what is their stand on legal immigration?
Yes, I realize they are two separate issues but within the larger concept of the direction our Nation is taking, we must consider the numbers of legal immigrants allowed in. We can't be open to the entire world if we are to maintain our hard-earned standard of living.
Illegal immigrants have no standing; they should be deported if we had the resources. While most are good upstanding contributors, their culture also brings in to our homeland much murder, rape, theft, child abuse, drugs , gangwarfare, et al.
They flood our prisons; they flood our emergency rooms to the point of closing; they suck more of your tax dollars through "anchor babies" with food-stamps, welfare, and other social services. They depress property values; they build ghettoes. They build hate and distrust.
Here in the Los Angeles area of Southern Calif, "illegals" eat a huge part of the budget. Even the liberal Los Anglese Times has admitted the negative effect.
From what I read, it is happening more and more around Middle-America. We tried to warn you...but that's another story.
So what are we to to about the MASSIVE influx of foreign cultures that can't work along side our own and take your jobs at a slave rate makes you have to doubleup on work for your with family?
What are we to do about 25% of Hispanic prisoners in our jails? What are to do with the same Mexicans who every day kill our citizens on our highways and rape and murder our women and children? Don't believe me - got stats.
We may not be able to stop every drunken Mexican crashing into and killing an American family on the road, much like we can't stop every stupid US citizen, but at least that citizen had a right to be here in the first place. Like we need MORE criminals.
Here are my solutions:
Federal: The NAFTA agreement that is allowing Mexican truckers into our highways should be stopped, yesterday. Other so-called "free trade" agreements should be reviewed and amended to be "fair trade".
State: The Arizona Court of Appeals decision requiring employers to VERFIFY the legality of their workers is now the law of the land. I read every day that illegal Mexicans are moving out of Arizona and on to other states or even just going back to Mexico. You want solutions? Here it is. Since this decision was not overturned, it is having a huge decrease on the influx of illegal aliens into Arizona. We've all known...take the jobs away - they stay away.
Here's my suggestion: As we killed the McCain/Kennedy Shamensty Bill giving a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens, we should now build a coalition to support any city, county, or state that wants to pass the same type of laws as Arizona. There is another state working towards similar employer penalties - Louisiana I believe. There are also a number of cities that have written into their laws that they would not be a "sactuary" city.
Hammer the employers who knowingly hire illegals and the demand will dry up. Oh no, we will be doomed because there won't be anyone to fill those low paying jobs. Bullshit. They were done before, they will be done again.
This movement is growing. If you care about the cohesiveness our our country, American jobs, American continuity, this type of local effort could be the answer. It's working in Arizona as I type this.
What say you?

I know, it seems difficult to imagine a divided country, but I just don’t see any other way. For your reference, search Google for secession statements from SC, Georgia, etc and you’ll see how this can happen.
For the record, our housekeeper, who was born in Mexico, is a naturalized U.S. citizen. We checked.
Depends on what the definition of "we" is.
There were only two potential candidates who'd earned my trust on this issue, one has already been forced out and the other is being ignored by the party mainstream. All the others are mouthing platitudes intended to calm down the few remaining conservatives - making promises that will last right up to the swearing in ceremony.
PS: I know two certified adult Americans who would be absolutely thrilled to be earning a steady $9.00 an hour. One's quite skilled and the other is quite pi$$ed off.

Sounds like a plan! But you have to realize most of our cities and states are suffering from the cancerous liberal politician and his band of criminals who are implimenting these social programs for votes. These despicable rapists are eating at the very foundation of American society. So I suggest you add a few more to your list, get involved from the lowest to the highest level in your communities, a voice speaks louder in mass. Search for the truth in media, and lastly stop voting these idiots in, get out and vote conservative!
I am aware that not only do they have good security, it will increase as things go down hill. The problem they must face is that their security forces, pilots, drivers, servants, all must come from the very people they have oppressed. A hand full of heavily armed and militarily trained men could easily capture, let’s say, a Senator or close relative thereof. From that asset, more contacts can be gained via their personal Blackberries, PDA’s, laptops and cell phones. They will be persuaded to give up the passwords. Then intel on whereabouts would increase exponentially.

I agree. However, there will come a breaking point at which people like myself that are aware of the intent of the founders of this country, will no longer stand for it. Gun confiscation comes to mind. My point is, They send law enforcement around to do their bidding. The run of the mill officer will do as he is told regardless of what he swore an oath to, because he wants to keep his job. The political elite could care less what battles are going on in the streets. They have their private hideaways all over the world and will just watch it on CNN. Our beef is not with law enforcement, in fact they are affected the same as we are. Our beef is with the law MAKERS. Therefore they are my primary target.
I think it would only take a few incursions, then we would have both.
Another point would be, if lock and load time comes, we would no longer be limited to owning arms acceptable for “sporting purposes” A fifty cal or morter can do a number on a 100’ yacht from quite a distance. I can fly planes as well.
Well,here’s a budding idea, the details of which would have to be ironed out. Since it is all about people control. We could start a group that stops registering children. They are not in the system, home schooled, don’t pay taxes or S.S. they would be taken care of by the “community”, secret society sort of thing. They live in THIS country in a sort of parallel universe, under constitutional rule. We’d have to use the techniques of the illegal aliens for drivers licenses, and they could only work within the “community” of unregistered people. The trick would be, how would they ever gain political control when their numbers were large enough, without the right to vote. Or would they even NEED to? If the rest of the country went to hell in a hand basket around them, would they care? It reminds me of the Amish community.
If we did start something we’d probably get rained on like Waco.
