Today is the day.
I voted early here in Florida- you must already be a registered Dem or Rep to vote in our primary. Winner take all.
If he wins, your guy will need all the votes in the general election he can get. So why not make the smart play, do your small part, and not drive away those of us who might have to hold our noses & vote for him with sophomoric gloating?

FRED ——> 16%
If Fred drops out, ballots that are already printed won’t be changed but votes for him won’t count. In states where ballots are not yet printed, his name will be left off.
Yep, you’re probably right. Just disgusting. This whole process just makes me ill.
Thompson only has 20% in VERY conservative Spartanburg county. When Greenville county comes in, Huckabee should do VERY well. Huck is dominating the upstate. The midlands are split b/n McCain and Huck, and the Low County is pretty much McCain with the exception of very populous Berkeley county.
Poor Hunter.
I admit I was on the Hunter bandwagon early on. But it was not to be.
God bless him.
“Florida is winner take all, I think.’
Frankly the WTA status of FL is somewhat up in the air. I suspect at the end it will be but the WTA rules were invoked by party leadership after we got the delegate haircut.
BTW, we have early voting and where I am it has been heavy.
It will be a good old fashion horse trade. The top two delegate holders are the best bets for the nomination, but if you have a stack of a couple of hundred delegates, you can get a position, a speech slot, or influence. You could end up Secretary of Defense, head of the RNC, or keynote speaker.
That’s why I don’t think any of the five major players will drop out. They can play a prevent defense and end up with influence at the convention, and that is without a lot of money involved.
Not gonna happen. I expect they will still all be in come the convention (well, ok, not Hunter), and that no one wins on the first ballot - at least unless delegates start changing votes after the first count.
And then...they should rally around the nominee, Fred Dalton Thompson. Well, except for McCain or Huckaboob, because one of them will be the Demonrat VP npminee
Huckabee not doing as well as he thought he would in Greenville. He was banking on it and it’s a statistical dead heat a 46%.
Some black man was just on saying (he said this, I'm just paraphrasing), "Obama made a big mistake bringing up the Reagan issue. Black folk hate Reagan. Black women aren't going to vote for somebody comparing themselves to Reagan. Obama needs to leave that rhetoric in the classroom."
He said the black folk stuff. Not me.
nice post skeeter
as much as some of them suck
any of them are better than Hillabama
the party leaders let too damned many run.....
You’re reinforcing my point, not contradicting it. Huck took the lions share of what would have been Fred’s base of support.
Could he maybe be the Cheney to Mitt’s Bush? I really would like to have Thompson leading this country in some way.
No Fl is not an open campaign.
Maybe someone like Harriet Miers?
