Huckabee: 'I Don't Want to Use the Word Conspiracy, But'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Shades of Hillary's VRWC . . .

Mike Huckabee went on Morning Joe today and toyed with suggesting a "conspiracy" composed of the "Washington power circles" was out to get him. At 7:41 AM ET, the former Arkansas governor was discussing his efforts in South Carolina with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.

Starting to think a Thompson - Romney ticket would be good.

"Are there any freepers out there who support huckabee besides myself?"

Lots of us...if Fred continues to get pushed out.

Is that a real Fox News case (I know it’s not really Huckabee, LOL)? Hilarious photo.

I support Huckabee but I could, for the sake of the party, go for Thompson who I think would more unite the different GOP factions.

Im not so selfish as to say ‘its my guy or nobody’ (not that I am implying you are) but if Willard or Trudy end up on the ticket thats a bridge too far for me to cross..

Evangelicals need to look to substance and give up on fluff.

Great - vote an anti-abortion only vote, economics be damned. So when evangelical wives have to work to help pay all the taxes and the cost of living, the kids are raised by the socialists in the government schools because private Christian schools are out of the reach of families, and you lose the kids to the secularists and homosexual lobby, then what have you gained ?

The Baptists are getting there in recognizing this - they have come closer last year than ever.

Folks need to recognize that massive citizen action still works. We stopped the shamnesty bill twice last year. There’s no reason that, if the statistics are true and over 50% of the population does not support abortion on demand, then a grass-roots campaign like we all did for shamnesty should do a lot to cause a big rollback in abortion in this country.

"Oh, wow, Bush and Romney really ARE related! I did not know that."

Ya..it's weird isn't it! I started looking at Romney's hairline and kept thinking...what is it about him and his hair? Then I looked at some pics of George H Bush and thought...this is strange. So I did some investigating and sure enough, it's true. I really don't know what difference it makes other than the dems will really really hate it. They will find out...for sure.

I can get happily behind Thompson

Sorry FR...but I have to say...I don't want to hear this shit anymore from these people...either you are with Thompson or you're not...all of these folks saying "I was for Thompson but..." is a bunch of shit...you're either with him or not...if he doesn't become the RNC candidate then fine...but don't be wishy washy in the Primaries...if Thompson doesn't win the RNC ticket...I'll prob put him in as a write in...him and Duncan...I don't care how anyone votes...as long as they are an informed voter...

When you bring so-called caring into the legislative realm, then you are talking about government-sanctioned stealing from one to give to another all in the name of “compassion”.

Who is trying to do that? Not Mike Huckabee.

That's just it. Bring up the words "care" or "compassion" and curmudgeon-conservatives, Hamiltonian aristochrats, and other apologists for the I-me-my set of "class" warriors automatically charge "He wants to tax us!"

Huckabee hs pledged not to increase taxes. He is not the one espousing federal aid as is Mitt Romney.

It wasn’t the media that blackballed Fred, it was the evangelicals, who thought that his plan for only repealing Roe v. Wade, but not pushing the Life Amendment was not good enough. They then went wholeheartedly to Huck.

He said some other things that the evangelicals did not like as well which killed him.

"There is a conspiracy by Huckabee to fill his campaign with RINO agitators. First he hired Ed Rollins, who worked for uber-RINO Christine Whitman. Then he hired Jim Pinkerton, the gay Republican and Log Cabin activist."

Good info. Thank you.

Great - vote an anti-abortion only vote, economics be damned.

Way to read the whole post...

From My Post to which you responded: "I can get happily behind Thompson, hell I think as bad as McCain is he is still better for the party in 2008 (and certainly better for the future) than the big F.U. you’ll be giving evangelicals if you put Trudy or Willard on the ticket."

I named specifically two other folks who are not 'abortion only votes' and implied that anyone other than Trudy or the MittWit would be ok..

So when evangelical wives have to work to help pay all the taxes and the cost of living, the kids are raised by the socialists in the government schools

All valid points but not nearly as bad as slaughtering kids in the womb is it? I was 'raised by the socialists schools' and somehow emerged unscathed. The thought of putting my kids into such schools frightens me but Ill deal with it the same way my mother did by being involved and making sure they are a part of the discussion regarding world issues at a young age.

You’re right. That IS a problem. They hate Bush so much that any 12th degree relation would be a Bush to the libs. However, libs are not voting Republican anyway.

Tough choice. If the choice is a RINO or either Hillary/Obama, I’ll take my chances with the RINO. The Dem would do too much damage (a la Carter) and in a world with terrorists and nukes, that’s too much of a gamble for me.

They do own the country - they and the socialist teachers union.

Until we can remove or vastly reduce the influence of these two groups, I’m sad to say they control the extent of many people’s grasp of current events. The socialist teachers destroy the sheeple’s ability to think, the the “news” organizations control the agenda and the framework.

I don’t support Huckabee because he granted 1,033 pardons and commutations while governor. Huckabee granted clemency an average of about once every four days. Plus, his attitude about illegals in the past wasn’t very good IMO.

This wouldn't surprise me one bit. And I am not a Huck supporter.

I have just reached a point where I trust few if anyone in D.C.
