There is an unwritten rule in politics, especially WITHIN the Republican Party that the candidates don't come out and speak over one another.
I am not a McCain supporter as I see him as just as liberal as Giuliani. However, I was looking forward to HEARING John McCain make his concession speech.
About 90 SECONDS after McCain came out to speak, Romney comes out to interrupt McCain's speech obviously to quell any positive that might come out of McCain's concession.
This guy is way to slimey.
Talking over McCain is OK with me.
Were they in the same room?
He is more of a gentleman than your choice the Huckster. Huckabee is a Sunday Christian and a very spiteful man. Romney is head and shoulders above him in class.
Ronald Reagan?
You really have to make a stretch to get at Mitt.
Go Mitt!
Do we have a link?
Personally, I found it absolutely hilarious!
Politics is a brutal sport. If you can’t stand to take a bloody nose, you shouldn’t be in it.
Mitt may have not even known Mr. McCain was giving a speech, or maybe he was given a cue to go ahead. It’s not as if they were in the same room.
You’re right, Huckabee was still giving his speech when McCain came out to give his.
No I think McCain was in SC and Mitt was in MI. Actually McCain kind of stepped on Huck too. He was still talking when McCain took the stage though most of the important stuff had been said.
Amen to that.
**Mitt Roney: You’re no Gentleman**
I agree with your title.
I’m going to send you a Sore Loserman bumper sticker in a few months :)
Not only hilarious, deserved. McCain limited our free speech thru McCain/Feingold, now his speech gets taken away-bravo!
(plus hearing Larry King freak when his hero got interrupted was classic)
” Who cares about the presidential race, what I want to know about is how the honey bees are doing? “
I will be sure and bring this to your attention this summer and you will not be making light of it at that time when you see what it does to the price of your food, in addition to the effect of the ethanol scam & weak dollar.
As a stock broker who makes his living from the economy, I do not have a penchant for dooms day predictions nor do I have an interest in seeing pain. However, as I look at the evil that has seemed to permeate a good part of this country, I have a sense that we are going to be rescued from our decades of narcissism and hedonism by “dust bowl” like symptoms. God refines by fire and we have been given far more chances to get right than we deserve.
Highly unlikely that anything of the sort happened. I’ve NEVER heard of candidates being in the same location at victory/concession speech time. And in this case, news reports earlier this evening had McCain already out of the state on his way to SC long before the polls closed.
They weren’t even in the same state.
Maca-roney?
