Don't ring PETA's bell if you're looking for sanity.

Notice how these left-wing groups never really accomplish anything?

Dysfunction is a byproduct of Liberalism.

Normally, I'd say "87 Percent of all statistics are made up on the spot".

But....this is a stat about PETA, generated by PETA. Did they *really* want to put themselves in this bad a light? Are they that stupid?

PETA is clearly a dangerous lunatic cult, complete with a cadre of true believers running little Dachau and Buchenwald death camps out of the back of PETA minivans.

I cannot fathom what sort of perverse and twisted logic would lead the “People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals” to murder almost 3,000 helpless and abandoned canines.

They have accomplished raising hypocrisy to a whole new level. That's something.

Is that a trick question?

"...the well-known animal rights group managed to find adoptive homes for just 12 pets."

Your local un-funded cat rescue groups do better than that.

Let’s do a little math here... 30 million dollars divided by 12 pets is — $2.5 million per adoption.

I sent the press release to some friends. Ethical Treatment indeed. The ASPCA does a lot more good here in Fresno.

Not only cats but our near-by small town animal pound (shelter) has an excellent record of placing/adopting out animals, especially dogs. Well run, clean and ethical. (I check up on them fairly often) Very pleased with the dedication of the permanent and volunteer staff.

I noted some obviously older dogs and remarked how they probably didn’t “make the trip” for adoption. One of the staff said that even to his surprise, the adoption rate for the “special needs” dogs was in the 90+ %.

But we’ve always known that PETA and similar organizations propagandize and lie about their activities, nothing new here.

PeTA is a fund-raising operation masquerading as an animal protection outfit. The only reason for it to exist is to separate credulous little old ladies from their money. Spending money on adoptions does not help the bottom line, so they don't do it.

PeTA takes thousands of animals from concerned owners with a promise that those animals will be well cared for. Thus the owner is rid of the animal that was a problem and his conscience is clear. So, in a way, PeTA has performed a valuable service, and everybody comes out ahead, except for the animal, of course, who winds up dead.
