Your local un-funded cat rescue groups do better than that.
Not only cats but our near-by small town animal pound (shelter) has an excellent record of placing/adopting out animals, especially dogs. Well run, clean and ethical. (I check up on them fairly often) Very pleased with the dedication of the permanent and volunteer staff.
I noted some obviously older dogs and remarked how they probably didn’t “make the trip” for adoption. One of the staff said that even to his surprise, the adoption rate for the “special needs” dogs was in the 90+ %.
But we’ve always known that PETA and similar organizations propagandize and lie about their activities, nothing new here.
