Answer the 11 questions below to find out which candidates are most aligned with your views and opinions. You may skip questions if you do not want them factored into the results. This quiz is not meant to pick your candidate for you. It is designed to inform the public of the various stances candidates make. Results are not scientific. The WQAD candidate survey is based on the original SELECT A CANDIDATE survey developed by Minnesota Public Radio and posted at: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/projects/ongoing/select_a_candidate/. ugh, it picked Ron Paul for me, but Fred was only 1 point behind
Hunter
Thompson
McCain
In that order.
Disagreed with McCain on Immigration and Education.
Disagreed with Hunter on Immigration, Energy, and Marriage
Disagreed with Thompson on Immigration, Energy, Marriage, Education
So sayeth the quiz.
Fred Thompson. Guess I can keep the hats, shirts, pins, buttons and stickers.
This test is exceedingly faulty (I came up 82% toward McCain, who is as moderate as the day is long.). I support the Political Compass, which has done a graph of the candiates based on their positions. It’s much more accurate and trustworthy. You can take the test at the website and compare your score to theirs.
It picked McCain for me, with Fred a close second.
It doesn’t seem very well developed.
It put every candidate in the “disagree” column for Iraq and immigration. The abortion question was too black and white. My opinion on abortion is identical to Fred Thompson’s, and yet it put Fred’s abortion position in the “disagree” column. At least it put *uckabee at the very bottom of all the Republicans.
Duncan Hunter 26
John McCain 24
Fred Thompson 23
Thompson 70 Dis=Immigration, energy
Hunter 65
McCain 63
Huckabee 50
Seems pretty fair assessment to me. Anything that shows me adamantly opposed to the side of the street upon which Obama or Clinton walk is probably rightly ordered. And this showed me giving them each a 7 out of 100. That would be agreeing on the death penalty. I think they’re pandering on that one, though, so it’s really zero. And that would be exactly correct.
McCain 49
Fred 47
Hunter 47
Hard to understand, as I disagree with McCain on immigration, and marked it as very important.
No 'Rat got higher than a 3 - except for Richardson (13) who has dropped out.
Paul 51
FRed 47
McCain 43
Hunter 42
...
How did McInsane get in there ???
“Fred Thompson. Guess I can keep the hats, shirts, pins, buttons and stickers.”
LOL...guess you can...
“How did McInsane get in there ???”
yeaaaaaaaaa...I couldn’t figure that one out either;
since like the rest of you; McCain doesn’t agree with us on immigration....
That was a horrible quiz, they didn’t match the candidates well to their own real positions.

It's because you've got your jack-boots strung too tight.
I think it would have been interesting if that site would have included some other third party choices.
1.McCain = 74
2.Thompson = 60
WTF over?
I think this poll is skewed in some way to bump McCain. There is no way in hell that he agrees with my red meat conservative positions, the strongest of which is my position on illegal immigration.
I want the fence built, no gov’t assistance to illegals, prosecution of employers who hire them, no automatic birth rights, deportations, etc. McCain sponsored the Amnesty Bill, for Pete’s sake! No possible way is he my man.
At least Fred was my number two....sheesh
