VANITY: Question: Have you ever see such a silent political fall as that of Rudy Guliani?

Posted on 01/11/2008 2:02:24 PM PST by dinoparty

Where did he go?

From first to fourth with very few appearing to notice. I've seen loud, earthshattering falls before, gathering all sorts of attention, but I've never seen a candidate take such a big fall with so little fanfare.

Perhaps I wasn’t paying enough attention when it happened to Dean, but he seemed to just go away in the last Presidential elections.

A conservative dies but one death but a liberal dies the death of a thousand bounced contribution checks.

We have a long way to go with many primaries to follow.

Do not count Rootie out yet.

(Even though we all want to)

As we all fondly remember.

Dean went out with a scream!

and what will you say when he defeats Hillary in November? leaps tall buildings in a single bound?

In his interviews, do you see a face of desperation or the calm face of one whose strategy is working like a charm?

Rooty Tooty. A better choice than, than, er, Bloomburg or McKook. And for the record, I’m not voting for any of these three even if they should be nominated.

The MSM doesn’t like to admit that Rudy has tanked because of his positions on abortion, gay rights, gun control, and sanctuary cities. So they are keeping quiet about his problems.

But any time Fred drops a little in the polls, they all jump in to applaud and to say it must be because he’s lazy. If he goes up, they are silent.

Rudy’s from N’Yawk. So are most of the major media. Hillary’s choice of New York was no accident.

Hey, if this is strategy and it works, more power to him. I must say that I’ve never seen a successful political strategy built around making yourself seem irrelevant.

The Rudy is tied with McCain in NY.

Rudy Giuliani has certainly dropped in the polls but anyone who follows politics realizes that he is basically writing off Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan and South Carolina, making a 'stand' in Florida, hoping to garner a big number of delegates in 'Super Tuesday' primary voting. This strategy, whether brilliant or stupid, necessarily makes Giuliani's numbers sink when he comes in way down the list in a primary vote, as he just did in New Hampshire.

I'm not a Giuliani supporter but I know the liberal MSM favor him and so they'll downplay his poll position until he actually competes for primary votes, which is a favor my candidate, Fred Thompson, doesn't get, but then, Fred isn't O.K. with abortion-on-demand as a constitutional right, gay marriage, practically unfettered illegal immigration into our country and limitations of gun ownership when it comes to law-abiding Americans.

Rudy said awhile back that he was interested in pacing himself for the longer run.

I suspect that's exactly what he's doing.

It aint over until Super Tuesday.

If Rudy fails to win either Florida or California, he is toast. Getting NY, NJ, CT, and DE as consolation prizes mean nothing.
