These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
In obedience to Your will, we pray for President Bush this day. Because of his faith in You, he is crucified with Christ and Christ lives in him. According to Eph. 2, he is seated with Christ in heavenly places and can do all things through Christ who gives him strength. Let that power of the Greater One consume his old man. We trust You to develop, guide and empower him to do his job in excellence. Thank You, Sir.
Father, cover our President and our troops with Your wings and the blessing of Your covenant of grace sealed in Jesus blood. Rise up in Your children assigned to protect us and let that blessing extend to their comrades-in-arms. Let the presence of the Lord be with them with power, so that a great number will learn to believe and turn and surrender themselves to You.
Holy and Most Magnificent God, we want more people to know how good and gracious You are and how frightening life without You actually is. Reveal the truth to our citizens so that they can repent. Send Your laborers and Your Word to bring them faith and deliverance out of the hands of the enemy.
We, Your children, worship You, the only true God, and honor and bless You in the name of Jesus, our Lord
Join us in prayer.
Agreeing with you in prayer,
In His precious Name, Amen.
John Glenn said...
This should make you think a little:
There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January.
In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January.
That’s just one American city,
about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of Iraq.
When some claim that President Bush shouldn’t
have started this war, state the following:
a. FDR led us into World War II.
b. Germany never attacked us ; Japan did.
>From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost .
an average of 112,500 per year.
c. Truman finished that war and started one in Korea
North Korea never attacked us .
>From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost .
an average of 18,334 per year.
d. John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.
e. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
>From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost ..
an average of 5,800 per year.
f. Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
Bosnia never attacked us .
He was offered Osama bin Laden’s head on a platter three
times by Sudan and did nothing.
Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
g.. In the years since terrorists attacked us ,
President Bush has liberated two countries,
crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida,
put nuclear inspectors in Libya , Iran , and, North Korea
without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who
slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.
The Democrats are complaining
about how long the war is taking.
But Wait
It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno
to take the Branch Davidian compound.
That was a 51-day operation..
We’ve been looking for evidence for chemical weapons
in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find
the Rose Law Firm billing records.
It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the
Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard
than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his
Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.
It took less time to take Iraq than it took
to count the votes in Florida!!!
Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB !
The Military morale is high!
The biased media hopes we are too ignorant
to realize the facts
But wait!
There’s more!
JOHN GLENN (on the Senate floor - January 26, 2004)
Some people still don’t understand why military personnel
do what they do for a living. This exchange between
Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum
is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive
impromptu speech, but it’s also a good example of one
man’s explanation of why men and women in the armed
services do what they do for a living.
This IS a typical, though sad, example of what
some who have never served think of the military.
Senator Metzenbaum (speaking to Senator Glenn):
‘How can you run for Senate when you’ve never held a real job?’
Senator Gl enn (D-Ohio):
‘I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps.
I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions.
My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different
occasions. I was in the space program. It wasn’t my
checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was
not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the
daily cash receipts to the bank.’
‘I ask you to go with me . . as I went the other day...
to a veteran’s hospital and look those men ..
with their mangled bodies . in the eye, and tell THEM
they didn’t hold a job!
You go with me to the Space Program at NASA
and go, as I have gone, to the widows and Orphans
of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee...
and you look those kids in the eye and tell them
that their DADS didn’t hold a job.
You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in
Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends
buried than I’d like to remember, and you watch
those waving flags.
You stand there, and you think about this nation,
and you tell ME that those people didn’t have a job?
What about you?’
For those who don’t remember
During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney
representing the Communist Party in the USA .
Now he’s a Senator!
If you can read this, thank a teacher.
If you are reading it in English thank a Veteran.
Thank You, Lord, for another day of freedom. Let our brothers and sisters realize how easily this freedom may be lost, just by casting a ballot, or not voting at all.
Help us to find Your true rose among the thorns, Lord, that person to carry on the pursuit of liberty for this nation, and to help your children of all nations to be free.
Chastise our leaders that fight Your will and help us to support those that follow You. Let our warriors know, deep in their hearts, that we are there with them, supporting them in their cause for freedom and love of country.
Amen

READ: Matthew 5:21-26
Leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:24
Jesse Jacobs has created an apology hotline that makes it possible to apologize without actually talking to the person youve wronged. People who are unable or unwilling to unburden their conscience in person call the hotline and leave a message on an answering machine. Each week, 30 to 50 calls are logged, as people apologize for things from adultery to embezzlement. The hotline offers participants a chance to alleviate their guilt and, to some degree, to own up to their misdeeds, said Jacobs.
The apology hotline may seem to offer some relief from guilt, but this is not how Jesus instructed His followers to handle conflict. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus told us to deal with conflict by taking the initiative and going to the offended brother to apologize for the offense (see also Matt. 18). In fact, Jesus taught that the problem of human estrangement is so serious that we should even interrupt our worship to go on a personal mission of reconciliation (Matt. 5:24). The Master encouraged His followers to be reconciled with one another eagerly, aggressively, quickly, and personally (v.25).
Are any of your relationships broken or estranged because of something you said or did? Take the initiative. Go now and do all you can to be reconciled.
May the LORD Answer you in the Day of Trouble;
May the Name of the God of Jacob Protect you.
May He Send you Help from the Sanctuary
And Give you Support from Zion.
May He Remember All your Offerings
And Regard with Favor your Sacrifices.
May He Grant you your Hearts Desire
And Fulfill All your Plans. (Ps.20:1-4)
AMEN SISTER AND GRACE TO ALL CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS!
“In my flesh shall I see God.”
- Job 19:26
Mark the subject of Job’s devout anticipation “I shall see God.” He does
not say, “I shall see the saints”-though doubtless that will be untold
felicity-but, “I shall see God.” It is not-”I shall see the pearly gates,
I shall behold the walls of jasper, I shall gaze upon the crowns of gold,”
but “I shall see God.” This is the sum and substance of heaven, this is
the joyful hope of all believers. It is their delight to see him now in
the ordinances by faith. They love to behold him in communion and in
prayer; but there in heaven they shall have an open and unclouded vision,
and thus seeing “him as he is,” shall be made completely like him.
Likeness to God-what can we wish for more? And a sight of God-what can we
desire better? Some read the passage, “Yet, I shall see God in my flesh,”
and find here an allusion to Christ, as the “Word made flesh,” and that
glorious beholding of him which shall be the splendour of the latter days.
Whether so or not it is certain that Christ shall be the object of our
eternal vision; nor shall we ever want any joy beyond that of seeing him.
Think not that this will be a narrow sphere for the mind to dwell in. It
is but one source of delight, but that source is infinite. All his
attributes shall be subjects for contemplation, and as he is infinite
under each aspect, there is no fear of exhaustion. His works, his gifts,
his love to us, and his glory in all his purposes, and in all his actions,
these shall make a theme which will be ever new. The patriarch looked
forward to this sight of God as a personal enjoyment. “Whom mine eye shall
behold, and not another.” Take realizing views of heaven’s bliss; think
what it will be to you.
“Thine eyes shall see the King in his beauty.
“ All earthly brightness fades and darkens as we gaze upon it, but here is
a brightness which can never dim, a glory which can never fade-”I shall
see God.
“

Amen, wizr, and amen!
Thank you for supporting our troops and freedom. With all our obstacles within and without, God has truly blessed this nation. To Him we pray, trust and give honor.

Amen.
Father, please touch my President & his lovely wife. Please, bless & keep them, today & always.
I join in prayer for President Bush, the Administration and our heroes standing in harm’s way!
Amen.
Amen to your powerful prayer, Hiskid. God bless George W. Bush.
Thank you all for joining us in bringing His Kingdom to earth. This is a great work you have done.
In the Mighty and Prescious Name of Jesus, I agree. And thank you for taking the time to write down this prayer.
I pray that the science of brain transplantation be rapidly developed so that it may come to the urgent aid of our illustrious President Bush. He could use another type of transplant as well.
