When the parents are using the babies to break ours laws, we need to remove the ability for them to use the babies to break the law.

“its an idiotic issue to push, attacking babies because you cant enforce the rest of our laws.”
Stopping illegal aliens from getting the BENEFIT of citizenship is attacking babies???

Huckabee will get smoked in the Georgia primary for this very issue.

When the parents are using the babies to break ours laws, we need to remove the ability for them to use the babies to break the law. That has nothing to do with birthright citizenship.
There's no reason the parents should be given any special treatment because their child is a citizen.

Stopping illegal aliens from getting the BENEFIT of citizenship is attacking babies??? Illegal aliens aren't getting citizenship. Native-born babies are. So .... yes, babies are babies, and if you have a problem with illegal immigration, as I do, then enforce the law against the lawbreakers.

I don’t really know enough about Gilchrist.
I know enough about the Huckster to know that I do not trust him.

It’s become a personality cult. He’s a Christian and that’s all they care about. It doesn’t matter if his position on every other issue is diametrically opposed to conservatism, they’ll just deny that he really has/had that position. Just like a caller on Rush yesterday. The guest host kept saying that Huckabee wasn’t a conservative and the caller insisted that, “He’s a Christian and Christians are conservative.” Ever hear of Jimmy Carter?
Huckabee’s a Christian, I guess, although with his recent antics I’m beginning to wonder about that (latest example: “I can’t run this negative ad because ‘what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?’ By the way, here’s the ad.”) but he is clearly not a conservative. But his followers will insist with their last breath that he is, and THEY REALLY BELIEVE IT.

In this "he said, he said" melodrama, I think there is a) one liar and b) one fool.
I am convinced Gilchrist, while a fool, is in fact telling the truth and that Huck told him those things to keep that immigration flank of his campaign (which he sorely needs) intact, but with absolutely no intent of keeping those temporary, tactical promises.
When the cat got out of the bag, I think Huck, the liar, had to reign his comments in, therefore he contradicts Gilchrist.
As I said, one is a liar and one is a fool.
They both should be ashamed of themselves.
And PHOOEY! on any so called "Conservative" who was for border enforcement, voting for that slick guy from Arkansas.

Of course Huckabee retreats on it. He just pulls stuff out of his piehole to begin with, then when challenged, flops around like a beached trout.

"I made that decision as soon as I learned his history on illegals, too."I was always concerned about his history on illegals, his tax increases, his pardons of murderers; but the clinker for me, was when I found out that he protected his son from prosecution, after he brutally and viciously killed a helpless little dog.

I was always concerned about his history on illegals, his tax increases, his pardons of murderers Oh...that was the other nail in the coffin for me....reading about the thousands of commutations he made.
I hadn't read about this factoid about his son, though....(more reading for me, I guess. : )

Unbelievably disgusting. This amendment HAS to go. It’s antiquated and is a big problem for this country.

Claim: The son of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee killed a dog.
Status: True. On 11 July 1998, two young men working as counselors at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, Arkansas, killed a dog at that Boy Scout camp. One of those young men was 19-year-old Clayton Frady of Texarkana, and the other was
David Huckabee, the youngest son of then-Arkansas governor (and current Republican presidential hopeful) Michael Dale "Mike" Huckabee. (David Huckabee was just two weeks shy of turning 18 at the time of the killing.) Both young men were fired over their participation in the
