There really is something disquieting about McShamnesty. When he’s talking in front of the cameras in front of a small group with his wife there, something is just not right.

Something seems just not quite right with the guy no matter what the forum. His responses, expressions, and intonations are inappropriate. The most recent example was last week during one of the debates when he started giggling like an idiot after attacking Romney. ...and no one in the audience or any of the other candidates were laughing. ...or even broke a smile. Romney looked at him as if he were insane. ...with justification.

And ever since McCain was widely branded a hot-head (since the 2000 campaign, most likely) his voice has been both quiet and strangely monotone. ...as if he were medicated. (And he very well could be).

Yes you are probably right. I have no reason to think Thompson will drop out early. This race is wide open.

No way, Dole never appealed to the middle of the road voter the way McCain does and is no where near the campaigner or competitor McCain is. And Clinton was a somewhat popular incumbent at the time. The Republican might be old and a war hero and the Democrat named Clinton but that’s about it.

McCain, not only is not conservative, he dislikes conservatives and blames them for his 2000 loss. So, now we have two candidates, representing to opposite wings of the party, neither of whom support tax cuts, strong immigration control, or is very tough on crime. Both of these men are ego centric performers with good speaking skills and a limited following.

I disagree with the FOX ananlysis about why the Independent vote went so heavily for McCain. I think the the Independents went for McCain because he supports Gay Marriage and they Gays felt betrayed by Romney.

McCain won NH by 18% in 2000. These people are scary crazy.

Unlike many, I could have conceivably overlooked a lot of my (admittedly major) qualms over McCain, and voted for him were he to receive the nomination.

But, his sick, disgusting attempts to shove AMNESTY upon the country last year has forever killed that notion. I’ll never vote for him under any circumstance, regardless of how noxious a Dem opponent may be.

Amnesty/illegals is the one issue I’ll never yield on, even if it means for the first time in my life I won’t vote Republican.

He’ll have to change his position. Otherwise there won’t be a McCain Presidency. He miscalculated public sentiment, as alot of politicians did.

No one “loses” if you come in 2nd in a race of five candidates, where each one is winning a different state. If one guy is second in all the states, he’d easily win the majority of the delegates (which, BTW, Romney now has). We’ll see if he comes in second tonight and if he does, that’s a serious blow to Huck. But it won’t be spun that way.

Time for Willard to call it quits! This sends a good message -- RINOs with liberal records are not able to fool voters that they are conservative.

He doesn’t need the whole base to win.

And he sure wasn’t pissing on the base win he courageously and vocally stood up for the “surge” when no other candidate had the guts to do so.

This is all for show and propaganda.

You don't know how earnestly I pray you're correct.

Agree on Fred. And I don’t think he needs to win SC, but he does need a strong third there, or that’s it.

Sorry, liberals don't impress me, newbie and Romney is a huge liberal.

Fred chose not to campaign in liberal New Hampshire and for good reason. He's a southern conservative, who didn't want to waste his effort.

Obviously, Romney impresses you. Romney has spent million of dollars, of which roughly $20 million was his own money. And what does he have to show for it? NOTHING!

“McCain, not only is not conservative”

McCain - 83 percent life time conservative union rankings. Thompson just 3 point higher at 86 percent life time.

I think Ron Paul voters would like McCain except that he is too much of a hawk for their taste.
