I have NEVER liked McCain and will not vote for him....
I know it’s early but we don’t need an old guy running...
If he’s chosen, it will be just like 1996! GAWD!!!
Why can’t Fox just wait until more returns are in? I get so sick of this crap...

For any candidate who drops out, their votes are supposed to go to whoever they endorse. But, the delegates are in reality free to vote for who they want. Most vote for the endorsed.

If Romney loses Michigan and drops out, who gets his voters?

Obviously it will be a split. I think Hunter, Thompson and Huckabee will all get hefty shares. McCain might get some, but probably less than you think. McCain would get a lot if Romney were his old self. The new Romney appeals to different voters. Now, if Thompson drops out McCain should get his votes. Only there is an odd phenomenon with that. Thompson voters hate McCain even though the two candidates are very similar. So I don't see McCain pulling in any votes from other Republican candidates. He might benefit from the dropout of some Dem candidates.

I can give you an example here in OH. The northern third is overwhelmingly Dem (give or take a precinct). The southern third is GOP. Columbus to Dayton is the battleground area. There are certain precincts in Dayton, where I live, that are battleground precincts-—when we see if Republicans are turning out you can pretty well predict they will go GOP (the exception was 2006-—but it worked in 2000 and 2004). If you poll those precincts, you don’t need to wait for either Cleveland or Cincy to come in-—they remain pretty constant. So by just tallying up the key precincts, you can usually count on the heavy Dem to go Dem and the heavy GOP to go GOP, and that will give you your number.

As Glenn Beck said today, " McCain? Are you kidding me"?

How soon people forget. McCain/Feingold, Amnesty, against tax cuts, bought into the global warming scam... well, at least Huckabee didn't win!

Relax.

NH is only worth 12 votes. To put that into perspective, WY is worth 14 votes and that’s AFTER the RNC cut their vote count in HALF for moving their primary up so early.

Normally NH is worth less than half OF WYOMING FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Do you know what is in wyoming?

A whole lot of nothing.

NH is less than half of that.

Hell, I thought Fox didnt do this type of BS.

That channel has changed so much since 96. It used to be appointment television for me, now it seems so cheap and tacky.

No different than the rest.

“Like it or not, nominate McCain = win the White House.”

He needs the base to win it all. You know the base, the people that he has spent the better part of the last 8 years pissing upon?

I don’t see Thompson dropping out just yet. It will take more than just a loss in Iowa and New Hampshire. A lot will likely depend on South Carolina.

Oh now that's the answer to a different question. Who gets the delegates of the dropout candidates. Thanks for the answer.

This sucks. Well, it would have sucked no matter who would have won, since FRed and Hunter wasn’t competitive in the race. This has to be the most piss poor year I’ve ever seen when it comes to the options we are left with. I love FRed and Hunter but the base, by and large, seem to be ignoring them. It also doesn’t help when the media ignores the conservatives in the race.

It’s a combination of exit polling and actual results. It’s worked every time since 1952 with the exception of 2000 and that was due to some problems with VNS.

Bull dinkies. In 2004 they were calling races for Kerry that turned out to be Bush.

“Romney will win Michigan, Fred and Huck will be 1-2 in SC and Rudy norrowly wins FL, Brokered convention!”

I’m hoping for a knock down fight at the convention. It’s been a long time coming.

Enough with the infomercial, let’s box!
