A couple of yahoos interrupted Hillary Clintons speech tonight in Salem by waving big signs and chanting Iron my shirts!
Clinton asked that the lights be turned on, apparently to see them better and declared. Oh the remnants of sexism, alive and well tonight, to applause.
She then talked about breaking glass ceilings, before joking as the pair were hustled out: If theres anybody in the audience who wants to learn to iron his own shirt, we can talk about that.
We followed.to ask what the heck they were thinking.
Nick Gemelli, who is 21, and born at least a decade after iron my shirts was an anti-womens rights slogan, didnt have much of a rationale. I just dont think a woman should be President, he said.
He couldnt really say why, but he agreed that he was a health care voter, as the sticker on his carrying case implied. The Hillary for President sticker was a bit more of a puzzle.
He said he had just been given both and peeled them off. He said he had no connection to any campaign.
At least he got some attention. His friend a la Bart Simpson said his name was Hugh Jas, but The Mouth later learned that his real name is Adolfo Gonzalez Jr.
Update Adolfo apparently has a MySpace page that says he is a Republican who doesnt do drugs or have a girlfriend, and calls himself Captain Fun. He did seem to enjoy himself more than Nick.
So that's it. They're yahoos. But when people interrupt the President, the Lady Coulter, David Horowitz, etc., these people are protesters.
ML/NJ
They may be registered Republicans but they are Clintonista thugs! It’s their MO.
They are in full “victim mode” right now staging anything and everything makes sense to me.
Bill hit Rush Limbaugh with an attack and they probably have trolls posting nasty stuff here on FR to stir the pot.

Were those the guys who started the famous internet search engine?”
Exactly. How many of these people have we seen up until now?
Now that she is trailing, the tears come out and these people pop up.
Yeah, they’re Republicans.
Like Michael Moore is a “Life Member” of the NRA.
Anyone can join. For any reason. Even to smear the organization their joining.
I feel the same way.....not sure why MySpace has taken off.
Far from being “cool”, to me it is simply embarassing.

It was a setup.
It Takes a Village......to come up with really bad ideas.
Sounds like Hillary is going back to the basics...just play the victim.
“IRON MY SHIRTS””....
BWhahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! LMAO
Tears, literally.....from me!! That is a riot!!!!!
Yeah, when Bill was pulling up his pants he let the cat out of the bag with his “BILL SAYS HE CAN’T MAKE HILLARY ‘YOUNGER, TALLER, MALE’...” shtick....
WELCOME BACK CARVILLE.....
It’s a shameless play to recapture at least the women’s vote.
Yes, this was definitely a radio stunt, Im sure it will be on wbcn this afternoon/evening. Toucher and Rich show.
The over-whelmig majority of Republicans eat meat, some even go out and make the kill themselves...;)
He’s saying he eats meat. But then who knows...he’s Capt Fun! LOL
Hugh Jas. Was Heywood unavailable?
Hey! Thanks for re-affirming the need for separation of church and state!...You go guys!
Righteous bigotry, gotta love it.
Welcome to modern politics...
I’m not so sure I’d discount this kid thinking he’s a Republican.
The rabid frothing at the mouth MoveOn types *are* illiciting equal stupidity out of some of our young Republican friends...
He might think of himself as an activist. LOL
My goodness......”he admits”
He probably “proudly declared” his Republican status.
.
He’s getting his 15 minutes +.
