Don’t believe it for a minute, unless something has been left out of the story.

However I do believe it could happen.

We had a suicide here many years ago. Man went out to the barn late at night and hanged himself. Incident was investigated for weeks because there simply was nothing in this man’s life that would even remotely explain this.
Except one thing, he was a chronic sleep walker. In the end the ruling was accidental death due to sleep walking.

In another case all weapons and sharp objects had to be removed from a home as the husband (another chronic sleepwalker) would try to harm his wife. Jury is still out on that one as there appears to be long term mental illness over multiple generations in that particular family.
