You said — “I certainly do not “minimize” bigots like you or Hucksters from Arkansas, in fact, I believe both are a great threat to the Republic.”

Well, get used to it, because we’re not going away..... LOL...

The political cartoonists at Foxnews must be really pulling for McPain. I’ll bet they just can’t wait for a president with such a uniquely misshaped head.

Frankly, I have a feeling that Jesus would tell you to stifle.

Lots of people have feelings about Jesus, only few know him.

John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

If Thompson, or any of us has never aknowledged Jesus with our life, he is not a Christian. None of us are Christians just because we say we are. It is not a matter of works, it's a matter of fruit.

Matthew 7:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles

You said — “You said earlier that being a Christian is not your only criteria, but this argument belies that.”

Yes, it’s not the only criteria, but it is the *first criteria*. Then after that, I can go down the list, of other political items.

And then you said — “I may be supporting the man you think not Christian, but his policy is the most Christian I see.”

Well, only “people” can be “saved”. Ideas and policies and other such things cannot be “saved”. Ideas and abstract reasoning on those ideas cannot be “Christianized”... in that they can’t be “saved”.

So, it doesn’t really relate about policies being “Christian”. No such thing exists. Only a *person* can be “Christian”...

And then, finally you said — “You are wrong about one thing. There is a second man in the race for you to consider since you agree that Governor Huckabee fails the political matters: Duncan Hunter.”

I’m not sure if I said this to you, but I said it somewhere. I pointed out that it was fine to compare two Christian candidates and their policies. But, when it gets down to the end, and we end up with one, then it’s going to be that one or nobody... you see...

Star Traveler

Yup, the campaign of she whose name must not be spoken took an awful cut this evening. Before this is over, despite our obvious enjoyable glee at her losses, we may very well wish she had won.

I also think people who decide on a candidate because of a single issue are dangerous in any party.

Well, what do you propose to do? Get rid of the issue? Or get rid of the people?

Obnoxious is not a characteristic I would give to Jesus Christ, however, it is an appropriate characteristic of a few of you here.

So is Duncan Hunter - and he is still in the race.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Duncan got votes in Iowa even though he had no organized presence in the state.I have a feeling that a few folks are going to be surprised by what happens with Duncan in Wyoming.

You said — “Bottom line: any belief that is not Christian is a cult. True or false?”

Yeah, that’s the idea.

You see, Christianity says it is “exclusive” — in that there is *no other way* to God, except through Jesus Christ (as His Son). I mean, no one (who is a Christian) can ever be mistaken about that. If they know anything about the Bible, they clearly know that God says there is no other way and that *all* other religions are false. This is a very clear position for all Christians.

And therefore, *any* religion which is not Christian is a “cult” by definition (a
“Christian” definition, to be sure, though...).

And yes, there is a secular definition for “cult” — but that’s a different meaning and usage than the Christian one. I’ve said that before, and on more than one occasion. I’ve usually had to explain to people that the meaning of “cult” from the Christian side of things has nothing to do with the meaning that most secular readers put to the word “cult”.

With most secular readers, they are thinking something like “Jim Jones” and being brainwashed and perhaps being held against your will. But, that’s not — in the least — the meaning from the Christian standpoint.

In fact, from the Christian standpoint, it can be recognized that while someone may be in a “cult religion” — they may be one of the most upstanding and good citizens around, and have nothing bad about them, as far as “citizenship” (or as a “person”) goes.

I hope that makes it clear.

Star Traveler

Patience there, KTM rider. One step at a time.

FIRST we must get HER sidelined. Which is possible.

Then, the Huckster has to get out of the GOP nomination picture, too.

Both of these will be coming up in the near future.

Give me a break—because some (most) of us don’t like Huckabee, we don’t like Christians?

With those thought processes, no wonder you support the Huckster!
