Considering the alternative of not taking the fight to the enemy, I say it is money well spent.

What was the cost of the Twin Towers? What about the financial potential of 3,000 human beings, as long as we’re talking about how much things cost?

Can’t respond to your thread? You sure like to tell us how we should vote for Ron Paul from your chair in Canada.

The only reason that Ted Stevens is complaining is that he hasn’t yet figured out a way to stuff more of it into his pocket. Hope he ends up sharing a cell with Congressman “Cold Cash” Jefferson.

Hey, I have an idea. Don’t spend the money and when the IslamOfascist take over, it is that much more money they
will have.

Hey, here is another idea. How about all not include locks on your doors . That will save you money.

Hey, one more idea. Lets not fund fire and police depts.
We can really save money.

Since our security is the Government’s NUMBER ONE RESPONSIBILITY (It’s what we’re paying for!), I guess we’d better cut back on the frivolities—like WELFARE!!!

How about the cost to our economy of NOT exploring for new oil on our own soil, like places like ANWR or the Gulf coast ?

Do you understand that we, the people of the United States, were spending upwards of 40% of GDP in World War 2 and about 16% during the Korean War?

Any guess how much we're spending now on Defense and the Iraq/Afghanistan appropriations as a percent of GDP?

How much would rebuilding NY, LA, DC, Dallas-Ft.Worth, or any number of other cities, destroyed by a nuke, or even just contaminated by a dirty bomb, cost? Hmm?

And most of that is going into “improvements” on his house. Dude is a corrupt hack RINO who needed to go 20 years ago.

Federal budget = $3 trillion a year

Fighting and killing our enemies = $180 million a year

A drop in the bucket and money well spent.

This cost of this war is approaching $15 billion a month, with the Army spending $4.2 billion of that every month," Sen. Ted Stevens (Alaska), the ranking Republican on the Appropriations defense subcommittee, said in a little-noticed floor speech Dec. 18.

Which is severely cutting into his yummy yummy pork and his bridges to nowhere.
