On March 4, 2007, at the 42nd Anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama, Mrs. Clinton recounted how as a young girl she had the great privilege of hearing Dr. Martin Luther King speak in Chicago: The year was 1963, Clinton said in her speech. My youth minister from our church took a few of us down on a cold January night to hear someone that we had read about, we had watched on television, we had seen with our own eyes from a distance, this phenomenon known as Dr. King.
At Selma, Hillary said she had seen MLK in 1963, so she would have been 15 or 16 at that time. But authors Don Van Natta, Jr. and Jeff Gerth, (Her Way, 2007) seem to think that Hillary was then 17, which would have put her at a King speech in late 1964 or 1965. A Washington Post article a few weeks ago had Hillary at an MLK speech on a Sunday night in 1962. Carl Bernstein, the former WaPo writer in his book A Woman In Charge, says Hillary saw King in the the fall of 1961 (Hillary would have been 14 at that time). And the Boston Globe also recently had Clinton with King in the spring 1962.
So when was it? Was Hillary at Kings speech on that cold night in January 1963, or the spring of 1962. Was it 1965 or the fall of 1961?
Why cant these journalists get their facts straight? Dont they read each others accounts? Why hasnt the media looked into these details, which are strikingly different in each account?
Recall that Romney was raked over the coals by media and bloggers when he said he "saw" his father march with Dr. King.
How do you know this?
That was then and this is now Hillary..In the mean time when was it you started working for the commie party...Was it when you met or saw Martin which by the way some say was a commie too..

While looking up things on King I ran across this..Could it be that Hillary knew him from the commie friends they both knew..I never could understand why a person like King had a holiday named for him..
“So Hillary was in Selma liestening to MLK and Bubba was in Arkansas watching the KKK burn churches?”
I’m guessing it was closer to the time Bubba and his buddy were riding in the back of buses in Arkansas to show solidarity with Rosa Parks.
From what I understand this youth minister was later fired by the congregation.
I don’t know the specifics, but I do know if my child was being taken without my knowledge to be brainwashed and radicalized, I would raise the roof at this church.
The Clinton’s have trouble with the word “is”, Romney has the same problem between see & saw.
Hillary, all of us your age saw Dr. King. So why are you making your seeing him a big deal?
good lord..............the fawning worship of race hucksterism
how inspiring
*I knew Charlie Evers.....does that count?
oh yeah...and Hodding Carter and Pat Derian too?
I am sitting here wondering did she kiss his ring.
So how come the media has ignored Hillary’s fable but pounced on Romney’s tale?
Awwwww
[don’t]
give the ‘poor’ bw*tch a break . . .
She probably channeled him during a break in the lesbo orgies at Camp David.
She was reportedly still a Goldwaterite then, anyway!
Maybe we should ask her how many rocks she threw at MLK given her sensibilities
and still the same personality then.
So who cares? She says she saw him.
Now stop that name-droppin’!!!!
My daddy filmed the Selma march for national news outlets. I don’t know if he covered King anywhere else. Do I get points for this? I don’t want to say what else he filmed for fear that some of my points will be taken away. He was a businessman!
If she says she saw him but she really didn’t, is she saying things that are untrue?
B I N G O ! . . . indeed
Sir Edmund Hillary Clinton
. P revaricator
. . O f
. . . T he
. . . . U nited
. . . . . S tates
But .. what Romney meant was that the day MLK marched in Selma, Romney’s dad WAS MARCHING IN MICHIGAN - IN SYMPATHY WITH MLK’s CAUSE.
So .. the media picked up on the statement but NEVER BOTHERED TO CHECK OUT THE FACTS [and even if they know the real facts - they never include them] .. WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT THE DRIVE-BY’s ALWAYS DO.
And .. NO! I’m not supporting Romney. But he wasn’t making a “false recollection”.
I can't agree more
This "who" saw "whom" on what day 30 years ago is pretty stupid IMHO for both parties
Is it REALLY that important in todays political climate ?
Do people really care if Hillary actually saw MLK from afar in 1963 or 1961 or 1964 or if Mitt saw his Dad march with MLK in June or July or at all?
I think the MSM makes more of this than necessary to deflect the candidates from responding to real issues that affect us today, especially the GOP
Some here are sucked right in with their game
Do you think people should people give a damn if this whole Clinton-MLK story was made up?
