PROTECTING THE PLANET

A senior fellow emeritus at the Policy Studies Institute has a little something to say about carbon rationing. He says that carbon rationing (not even carbon offsets) is the one and only solution to ensuring that the world does not burn up and the oceans don't rise and swallow costal cities ... in other words, we must ration ourselves or suffer "the worst effects" of climate change.

He says that the problems we are causing by burning fossil fuels are so severe that governments will have to implement rationing ... even if it is against the will of the people. Golly, that sounds familiar.

He says, "When the chips are down I think democracy is a less important goal than is the protection of the planet from the death of life, the end of life on it," he says. "This has got to be imposed on people whether they like it or not." Do you hear that? Democracy is less important than buying into the phony cause of global warming.

Do you want a hint of things to come if this idiot gains any power or gets too many people to listen to him? Well, for starters the government could limit you to one airline flight a year ... or perhaps limit you to 2000 airline miles per year. If you needed to fly over 2000 miles in a year you would have to find someone with air travel credits they haven't used and try to buy them. The government, of course, would charge a tax on that transaction, thus generating yet another source of revenue for the government. Then there's your car. A good limit there might be 6000 miles per year. Once again, if you need to drive further .. .by some credits, taxed, of course, from someone else.

How much more absurd can this global warming scam get?

Just check back here tomorrow. Next week at the latest.

"Carbon rationing"? What total insanity. The Cult of Global Warmism outdoes itself on a virtually daily basis.

We certainly do live in interesting times.

“A senior fellow emeritus at the Policy Studies Institute”
I find people like this soooo interesting! It’s sort of an idiot savant thing. Their basic thought processes are so messed up, yet they’re somehow able to achieve a high degree of education. It makes no sense that someone with such a moronic level of reasoning could somehow achieve the status of “Senior Fellow Emeritus!”

Hey, if I lived in NYC, I probably wouldn't own a car. Here in D/FW, I'd burn through that 6K in 3-4 months. And this guy wants me to pay tax on top of the fuel tax I'm paying now?

I'll guarantee you, if we forced these libs to live out in the boonies like Monahans or Pecos, their attitude would change in a New York minute.
