Does Gore Know What He's Talking About?
Real Clear Politics ^ | December 18, 2007 | Ed Koch

Posted on 12/18/2007 7:21:08 AM PST by Ooh-Ah

I may be old fashioned, but I think it's wrong to publicly attack and criticize your own country overseas. It is doubly wrong to do so in the presence of those who hate the United States.

Al Gore,....said, he is "not an official of the United States," he is free to attack his native country anywhere.

This month in Bali, Indonesia, the United Nations held a conference on global warming for the purpose of extending the Kyoto Protocols, which will formally end in 2012. The United States -- concerned about Kyoto's effect on economic growth -- has refused to ratify the Protocols. On July 25, 1997, the U.S. Senate rejected then Vice President Gore's advice and voted 95-0 to reject the Kyoto Protocols.

...Al Gore appeared at the Bali conference and said, "I am not an official of the United States and I am not bound by the diplomatic niceties. So I am going to speak an inconvenient truth. My own country, the United States, is principally responsible for obstructing progress here in Bali. We all know that."

Oh, really? And just how do we all know that? Is it true that the U.S. is "principally responsible for obstructing progress" in Bali? The New York Times, which applauds the former Vice President, reported on December 14 that "[t]he emerging economic powers, most notably China and India, also refuse to accept limits on their emissions, despite projections that they will soon become the dominant sources of the gases." The same Times article stated while the U.S. opposes an agreement that would include numerical targets, so do "a few other countries, including Russia."

...

Unregulated emissions from China, India and other developing countries are likely to account for most of the global increase in carbon dioxide emissions over the next quarter-century.

It's not about if Algore knows what he is talking about. This is all agenda driven.

He wants a "Metropolis."

Socialism is his god and that's what he wants for the Earth.

I like Ed Koch. I heard him being interviewed on Hannity once. Don't remember the exact topic, but I do remember Koch's zinger in his trademark New Yawk accent:

"Al Gore has shown himself unfit to be elected dog catcher, let alone any higher office."

“Short answer: NO!’

Long answer, since Al stands to reap huge profits from selling cabon credits through two companies he is a principle in, he needs Kyoto quotas to drive a demand for carbon credits.

Does Algore know what he's talking about?

For a guy who flunked out of law school AND divinity school... he sounds like a guy who flunked out of law school and divinity school.

That is assuming that the pig slime SOB actually has a mind to do the thinking to do the talking about. He is nothing short of a life time failure. Everything that he has he owes to his anti-civil rights, race baiting, blacks hating, slime ball father. Funny how blacks continue to kiss the white asses of dimocrats, whose party is the one responsible for holding them back, keeping them out, blocking any progress, for over 150 years. Blacks, simply ignore that it took republicans, WHITE republicans, to get them the civil rights act and the voting rights acts back in the 60s, that LBJ had to ask republicans to help him pass the laws, because his own party of dimocrats refused to do it. Naw, blacks continue to ignore. Blacks, who in most cases are very religious people, especially here in the South, go to Church, continue to vote for the anti religious dimocrats.

Gore is frustrated because the administration, the Senate, and at least half the U.S. public stand between him, his cronies and billions of dollars.

NEWSWEEK: AL GORE NOW WORTH MORE THAN $100 MILLION

[Since 2000, according to published reports, the former veep has transformed himself from a public servant with around $1 million in the bank to a sparkling private consultant with a net worth estimated to be north of $100 million. He’s a senior adviser to Google, a board member at Apple and now a newly minted general partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the Silicon Valley venture-capital firm that made billions investing early in Netscape, Amazon and Google.]

The whole of this Global warming thing was "according to Hillary herself", a way to get young people involved in politics. It's a scam from the beginning and I'm sure that if the Dems get in, Gore will wind up with a nice environmental position.

The probably with Gore is that he simply has absolutely no scientific background. Way back when, he'd probably be a "flat earth" man.

Does Gore Know What He’s Talking About?

Most globalists just compulsively fart out both ends without any brain involvement at all.

That’s probably a good thing since some would have to go to 7/11 to buy several caes of new brains to have any brain involvement anyway.

Gore failed almost every course he took in the natural sciences.

I do not believe this to be true. In fact, I don't think he failed any undergraduate natural science courses. He just got low grades in these classes.

Well, once a panderer, always a panderer. If pandering to the rest of the world and slandering your own country means garnering a Nobel Peace Prize and raking in millions from overseas sales and speeches, why not (from Gore’s point of view)?
