Ten months ago, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton went to East High School here on her first trip to Iowa as a presidential candidate and laid out a case for her candidacy to a cheering crowd in a packed gymnasium.

Clinton returned to East High School on Friday evening. The crowd was much smaller and more sedate. The sense of inevitability that her campaign once stoked had dissipated. And rather than discussing her candidacy, Clinton explained the caucus process and showed a video entitled, "Caucusing"

On her first trip here last January, one adviser said, Mrs. Clinton repeatedly expressed frustration, confiding to one associate that she "had no feel for the place(Iowa)."

Don't worry Hill, neither did John Kerry.

More than anything, this shows the power of faith and doubt.

Also, that picture deserves a caption:

“Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bull****. Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle. You are here today for three reasons. First, because you are here to defend your homes and your loved ones. Second, you are here for your own self respect, because you would not want to be anywhere else. Third, you are here because you are real men and all real men like to fight. When you, here, everyone of you, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the toughest boxer, the big league ball players, and the All-American football players. Americans love a winner. Americans will not tolerate a loser. Americans despise cowards. Americans play to win all of the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American.”

“Now can I be the Commander in Chief?”

What I like is when she starts talking about her health care ideas - she gets into “co-pays” and “deductibles” like she’s Ed McMahon hawking insurance on late night TV. She has no concept of how she is pandering - and how far beneath the dignity of the Presidency it is to sell the populace on the particular parameters of the implicit bribe she represents.

I wanna see her melt down on live TV - Barack, make it happen!

My money is still on this being a setup for a strong showing in New Hampshire as the Comeback Kid Part Deux. I’ll only take down my bet after more than one loss.

Can someone who knows how to post pics, please, post the one where Bill is on the cover of GQ with his legs spread, and title it “KISS IT, 2008”.

I've been hoping for that to happen also and on ocassion I've noticed her conciously trying to maintain her composure.

I don't believe Barack is the man who can do it but if she is the Dem nominee, then the GOP candidate would be well advised to have background research done to find the "trigger" which, if pulled enough times in a debate, will cause her to lose it or to clam up like a vice and then it's "Case Closed"!

Maybe, just maybe, people are starting to figure out that Mrs. Clinton has absolutely nothing to offer this country.

A debate Thursday? Yippee! If they ask her a tough question and stick to it, she will melt down and further demonstrate how completely unqualified she is to be president.

And that is the polite version of my opinion.
