hehehe
try to keep up with the thread, k?
(just kidding)
We were earlier talking about the liberals in the colleges...interesting stuff quix posted though, about shillery....if you hadn’t read all the related comments (not too many actually), you may want to. Interesting stuff. Reminiscent of the Klinton flu shots one might want to get....seems anything Klinton can be lethal, to your life, or career.
Have you, like me, wondered why we are having so many gun crimes? These mass shootings are so odd. All of a sudden kids are killing a lot of people, then offing themselves. That would have been the farthest thing from my mind in my youth. It’s just plain strange.
It's like a fear warding dance....robotech investestigators rolling... just to avoid videotaped gotchas of investigatory failures that wisk things away into the hands of JonBenet Ramsey makers.
I have read, fwiw, that much of this is caused by the violence children watch on t.v. and, also, on their video games.
I know that studies were conducted on that and that was their conclusion.
I grant you studies seem to prove whatever anyone wishes...otoh, I can’t figure out any better reason. Children do become what they are taught and exposed to, that much is a fact.
I’m also certain that the breakdown in the family unit has much to do with this, as well, and, naturally, removal of God and Christian values from just about everything is most likely the main cause of this, as children raised without values will fill up with bad values.
I’d actually been following along with that discussion, which is why I only had to go back one post to realize what I’d done.
Ah. That was interesting about Doug’s dvd thing.
Amazing, actually, that the “bastion” of “free thinking” and higher education continues to show its duplicitous self. It truly has become one of the most amoral and immoral, socialistic, anti-American, self-serving institutions in Amerika.
Police in Arvada and Colorado Springs said last night that they were working together to determine whether the two shootings were carried out by the same gunman.
~~~
It’s sure lookin’ that way to me,,,
On that note....it’s time for me to hit the hay.
Goodnight to you and to all.
Indeed it does.
Gotta get some sleep, now, count....see you soon.
Just one gunman-he is dead.Buildings still on lockdown.Fox.Saw 20 year old -white-he ran into the church.Thank you Guard.
I have been on that campus once more recently, when my older daughter, the one with those twin babies, went to OU to take her LSAT. I spent the time in the student union, and walking around and in the Army and AF ROTC buildings. Didn't go over by the stadium, that I recall anyway.
I did take two classes at OU, back in the '70s when I was stationed at Tinker. "Foundations of Mathematics" and "Modern Control Systems", IIRC. Still have the book for that second one, might have the one for the first, but it would be squirled away somewhere. Fun class, but I've not had much need for the book.
But even though I lived in Midwest City for 9 months, and sometimes drove through Norman on my way to Sherman Texas. I've not chosen to visit Barry's House. :0
Ahhh.... Perhaps that is the reason no names are being released. Could be that they didn’t want to tip anyone off in case there is someone else involved, or in case someone decided to go to the perp’s home and destroy evidence of some sort?
I’m very glad to hear these were not genuine bombs. Wondering if they were going to be used as a diversion, or if perhaps he was just wanting to up the “terror” factor.
I DO hope that this is a random act of violence of some sort and not part of a larger conspiracy, though. In light of the warning from the Arvada cop it could still go either way — unless he was warning people of possible copycats in the coming days/weeks.
While the assailant's identity had not yet been confirmed, police said they were already seeking search warrants for his vehicle and home for evidence that might explain the attack.
That means they know who he was.
A lot of public schooling was started by Socialists over a century ago, so it comes as no real surprise to me. We're seeing leftism pretending to be liberal & it the philosophy that underlies it has always had a heavy streak of nihilism running through it.
No it's not sarcasm. But maybe stated with too few words.
To elaborate, I don't think we really have any choice as to whether we will be sinners, on the one hand, or else sinless for our entire lives, on the other hand. You're either sinless your entire life, or else you're a sinner, correct?
What we DO have a choice in, is which path to take when we are clearly confronted with a decision as to whether or not to sin. The big problem here, is that we're confronted with these decisions 24 x 7 most of our lives.
Some people are much more consistent then others at choosing to not sin. But none of us is perfect, and no one on earth (except for one) has ever consistently chosen to not sin their entire lives. For everyone other than Him, we're going to fall short again and again, and so the "working my way to heaven by reaching my goal of eventually becoming sinless" is not a viable option.
I can't speak for others, but as for myself, I feel like some sins are on a whole different plane than others. For instance, if I am exhausted and distracted and not thinking clearly, and I react instantly to some perceived bad behavior by snapping at a family member, I feel badly about it afterwards, even though the biggest reason for it was my human frailties, including the physical weakness that comes as part of the package of being a human. But on the other hand, if there is ample time to think and to make a decision to not sin, but I go ahead and do it anyway, that is something that REALLY makes me ashamed of myself later!
Vel, thanks for the ping, I have not read it as yet, but just turned on the radio to koa.com, it will say the Steve Douglas Program, but George Brocker is filling in.
He did say smoke bombs had been set off in the second Church, said he “threw them around”.
You can listen on the computer, for the next 24 hours to this program, I think.
I think I agree with Pastor Henry Wright [my wording]. . . most sinful outrageousness . . . is evidence of an extreme . . . often extremely twisted and desperate search for unmet love needs.
REACTIVE ATTACHMENT DISORDER seems to me to set folks up for most such craziness. Daddy, particularly did not give enough love and healthy affection the first 8 years of life.
Some such kids get into occult stuff; rebellion; stubbornness; idolatry of various kinds; even overt witchcraft . . . or drugs; hate; group think of a rebellious sort . . .
seeing too often too much hypocrisy in churches, government, schools . . . society in general . . .
all the easier when the NWO folks have been setting interest groups at each others’ throats for 50+ years . . .
And,
WHEN PARENTS DISCIPLINE WITHOUT HEALTHY LOVING BONDED RELATIONSHIPS—REBELLION VIRTUALLY ALWAYS IS THE RESULT.
When such parents are particularly phoney . . . and the kid knows they were not truly loved . . . and the anger builds . . . at the rejection . . . then resentments and bitterness build . . . retaliation urges build.
Satan and his forces are always tweaking such up within and without—in current society in movies, news, all kinds of media, computer games . . . even laws . . .
We increasingly live in SHRILLERY and the RED QUEEN’s crazy world of the NWO’s satanic design.
Lawlessness has increased as Scripture indicated it would in the era in which Israel became a nation again—drawn from all over the world . . . in the same era the world government is coming together after earnest efforts for maybe 400+ years . . .
The sin-sick world seems to me to be heading for a very
imho, of course.
Anybody who took the BSF course is a ‘great guy’. (That’s cause I took the course, too, in Denver, several years ago.)
The justice system sure doesn’t stand for ‘justice’, these days, does it?
Certainly the Mooselimbs are addicted to hate and violence from their sick pedophile founder on.
But, hate seems to flow easily in a lot of veins in our era . . . on all sides of all issues . . . almost.
Phil Zimbardo, PhD who did the prison experiment said in the intro to an Intro to Psych text . . .
It’s one thing if the monsters are OUT THERE. We can gang up on them and kill them.
But if the monster is within all of us—that’s a much more serious and frightful situation.
And Christianity delcares that the monster is within all of us . . . And only The Blood of Jesus delivers and cures and heals.
But the world and especially the NWO folks are hell bent—literally hiding such facts and rejecting the facts of The Gospel from public life and from consideration.
What’s left is hell and destruction on an increasingly grander scale—just as satan delights in.
