[I waited 45 seconds and actually posted something substantial--Ed.]
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. At least four people were shot outside of a Colorado Springs church on Sunday, but it was not immediately known whether the shootings were related to an earlier shooting about 70 miles away, authorities said.
CERTAINLY folks can FEEL it caps are harder to read as I can that they are easier.
But when I can read caps further away and faster—that convinces me they are easier.
I’ll try and find some studies on it. at some point—after grades are in.
1st shooting...12:30 a.m. missionary school, Arvada. 20-ish man in black spent several minutes speaking with people inside the dorm. Peter Warren, director of Youth With a Mission Denver, said the man asked whether he could spend the night. When told he couldn't stay, the man opened fire, then left on foot. 2 young people dead. 2 injured.
2nd shooting: Shortly after 1pm. 70 miles south At New Life megachurch in Co. Springs. Perp plants bombs around...said seen throwing objects out of car up against buildings. He gets out and starts shooting in parking lot. Female volunteer security guard shoots and kills him. But he has already killed one, and seriously wounded 4 others. He fits vague description of perp in Avada. Cops are comparing notes.
Police in Arvada said they had "reason to believe" the shootings at New Life were connected with shootings at a missionary training center there. The same missionary training program has a small office at the New Life Church's World Prayer Center.
According to eye witnesses, the shooter was described as skinny, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and dressed in black. His pockets were bulging with what looked like shotgun shells and the gunman looked to be wearing something like bullet-proof vest and a black trench coat.
While the assailant's identity has not yet been confirmed, police said they are already seeking search warrants for his vehicle and home for evidence that might explain the attack. So far authorities do not know of any connection he had to the church
Police, firefighters and federal agents were combing the grounds hours after the incident, finding "suspicious" devices. Late Sunday, the church is under lockdown, and police are using a robot to determine whether the man had a bomb strapped to his body.
Three people were taken to Penrose Community Hospital in Colorado Springs, where they were listed in critical, fair and good condition
As authorities searched for answers to two crimes that defied explanation, perhaps nothing illustrated just how bizarre the day was than a plea issued by Arvada Police Chief Don Wick.
All faith-based communities, he said, should be on the lookout for trouble.
“All faith-based communities, he said, should be on the lookout for trouble.”
OPINION:
Absolutely, Velveeta.
Every church should be able to protect their congregation to the best of their ability — no exceptions, in my opinion.

From your info. earlier, it sounded like it was more their impression rather than anything they were actually officially told...or did a policeman tell them they thought the two shootings were related?
(Of course, it’s understandable to think they would be, in any event, occurring close in proximity and on the same day.)
Do you really believe this or is this sarcasm?
The absolute worst was seminary though! Talk about intolerance! That place defined liberal looniness!
If God wanted us to use all caps, why do we have lower case letters?
= =
LOL.
I wasn’t aware that Hebrew HAD lower case letters.
No! Last I heard, two including perp.
Besides, I’m sure a cast of thousands hereon would be glad to offer a long list of OTHER “reasons” that I’m to be considered whacky.
Very sad; I believe I read earlier that one died at the hospital....
I don’t recognize the man, but still the name sounds so familiar... Still praying for all involved...
It sounds like he started out in the parking lot...one eyewitness said he had a BIG BLCK gun, and she was pralyzed for a moment with fear, until her bf grabbed her and pushed her in the car. The pastor was looking out his upstairs office window and saw what took place in the parking area .
Then, witnesses saw the perp shooting in the foyer area, that’s where the guard shot him down, and his body was left there because they thought he might be booby-trapped!
At this point, he may still be there. They could be waiting for BATF anf FBI to fonish up.
It must have been chaotic. Church just getting out; hundreds of people milling about inside and out. I wonder how long they kept the people there until they felt it was safe enough for them to go to their cars and go home.
Well, we will be reading about it for days.
I pray it is not a larger conspiracy. I have a daughter married to a Baptist minister down south, and another who is a missionary in Africa!
I pray that God will protect and defend his people everywhere, and give strength and comfort to the injured and the bereaved, and watch over and heal the little children who may have witnessed this tragedy.
4 SHOT, not 4 dead. Unless there’s something new in the last 20 mnutes. There’s one dead, 3-4 hospitalized, plus the dead perp.
Are we on topic(((Hugs)))
Oh whee.
I don’t trust either group any more.
Necessary, I suppose.
“Again . . . the assault is IMAGINED in the eye of the beholder.”
No, people mentally say the words out loud and all CAPS almost always make people SLOW DOWN and SHOUT mentally. IT IS REAL SO STOP IT NOW!!!
Name sounded familiar to me too & I know I couldn’t possibly know him. Must be one of those kind of names.
Likely.
But with so many forces in society setting up such perspectives and values on reality . . . home grown is far too easily likely and common
imho.
Heartbearking yorkie,many young people.
Thank you, I’m. So there is one dead in Colorado Springs? So, there is one dead the shooter dead? What a deranged soul that young man had.
