(From April 26, 2007) David Huckabee Reacts To Arrest (Mike Huckabee's son)

David Huckabee, 26, the son of former Gov. Mike Huckabee, was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly attempting to board an airplane with a handgun at Little Rock National Airport.

After being released from the Pulaski County Jail, Huckabee called the incident "a silly mistake" and said "it shouldn't" affect his father's presidential campaign.

According to the police report, the gun was a Glock and had a clip in it. Huckabee was asked if he knew what was in the bag, and “he replied he did now.” The report says he told authorities that he forgot the gun was in the bag.

Huckabee was arrested for carrying a weapon in a prohibited place at about 6 a.m.

Yep,it’s over. Unless someone pulls a big one, Romney is our only hope. He looked very Presidential on his “religion” speech. I love Fred, but he looks like a dope on camera.

I just don’t automatically believe everything I read in the papers. Maybe it was , maybe it wasn’t. I would just rather focus on the candidate than go after his family. If Jr. was going to be playing on the rug at the WH with the “First dog” then I might be more concerned:’) I’m interested in issues. What bills has he signed, vetoed?

Honestly, I don’t care a bit what his kids weigh.

My concern is Huckabee’s long tax-and-spend, soft-on-crime (including immigration crime), nanny-state policy history.

I agree, EEE. It also detracts from the many real problems with Huckabee.
