Senator Barack Obama quickly issued a statement saying, “The juxtaposition of this N.I.E. with the president’s suggestion of World War III serves as an important reminder of what we learned with the 2002 National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq,” said Senator Barack Obama Democrat of Illinois, in a statement. “Members of Congress must carefully read the intelligence before giving the president any justification to use military force.”

‘’an important reminder of what we learned with the 2002 National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq’’

What we’ve learned is that our intelligence services are corrupt and incompetent.

"What we’ve learned is that our intelligence services are corrupt and incompetent."

... thanks to Bill Clinton and the Democrats. The truth is starting to slip out. Liars always get tangled up in their lies after a while.

I’m no fan of bill clinton but it has been over 6 years since he was around and since 9/11. Today’s failures are the government in general and the current leadership.

All I remember is (and I think I have the timing right)while we were on the road to Baghdad, Hillary Clinton, in a Timmy Russet interview said: "It has been the long time policy of the Democratic Party to take out Saddam".

Did Hillary think this "take out" would end in a few days...Like Desert Storm?

It looked like it was originally the intention of the Dems to take the credit for the initiative.

I wish someone could find that interview. I'd really like to put a proper date to it.

They should also take the time to read the charges before voting to acquit an impeached President.

Correct me if I am wrong, but President Bush never said we should attack Iran.....the Drive By Media has been publishing “reports” for months that Bush was going to attack, but the administration has constantly been saying only that the Iran must not develop a bomb....now it seems that Iran had started a program, but have now stopped.

The Drive-bys continue to imput actions or words on Bush that don’t stand up to fact. For example, the Democrats and the press claim that Bush said Hussein was an “imminent threat” when he said the exact opposite!

That being said...my confidence in the CIA’s intelligence is extremely low...they didn’t know about Libya when Libya gave up its program; they didn’t know about North Korea having a program...yet they said it was a “slam dunk” for Iraq and no WMD (or so it is believed)

You said .... “Correct me if I am wrong, but President Bush never said we should attack Iran.....”

I agree with you. This has been a Media/Democrat driven hype.

I will say if this has been the cause for Iran to step back some, then ok, but the trashing of President Bush is getting sick.

I’m not saying the Dems worked with the President on this, just an outcome of their evil!!!
