I’m going to say, flat out that any “Conspiracy theory” is based precisely on what you just said... some science, but always a flawed theory FIT into a predetermined agenda.
Over the years that I have dealt personally with some conspiracy theorists, there is always an underlying cause for them to believe their theories, and generally they are rarely based on actual facts.
I’ll use Richard Hoagland as a prime example, because, 1) he’s a semi-public figure and 2)I’ve had personal dealings with him.
He has several theories that are based on something he calls “Hyper-dimensional physics”. In general, he has other “theories” that branch off of this one to include Masonic numerology that is somehow attached to NASA and certain numbers, Egyptian gods and goddesses and several other... ummm clueless assumptions.
His followers hang on to every word, and then some. It’s essentially a cult of individuals who believe this stuff. When it comes down to science, there’s some thrown in for good measure, and a whole lot of “leftist-socialist” manure coming from some of the followers.
A lot of it is New Age nonsense that is coated with a magical chocolate coating (which, of course you must imagine) - and many of them will tell you the “Truth” isn’t true, because there are “many truths”.
When you get that attitude from a group of folks like that you simply can no longer argue facts because they discount those facts as “YOUR truth” and “Not MY truth”.
Arguing with them eventually will end in your total exasperation and frustration because they won’t actually LISTEN to logic and reason, nor facts.
Well, if the Earth’s frequency is 8 hertz then I would not be very surprised if the human body was too. Kind of like the fact that the salinity of the human body is about the same as the oceans.
ditto every word.......understand my compliment now ?
we freepers are a blessed lot
Did somebody say..."science"?
Tesla bump for later
I figured that. I used you (sorry! :~} ) as a reference to Fennie’s initial post.
I am a big fan of Tesla (the scientist), so I am fascinated with anything related to his dream of marrying radio and power/energy, science behind both of which he helped discover and advance.
I’ve also listened to Art Bell’s Coast to Coast (my “insomnia” was never a result of government conspiracy) and found it entertaining way to spend the night while doing the work I’d be doing anyway as well as a starting point to researching and learning some subjects and things I otherwise would not know existed or get interested in.
A guest one night will psychically predict a Hillary victory. Lately the flavor of the month has been Ron Paul.
In a interview last week, Pat Buchanan, touting his apocalyptic tome, said nary a word when George Noory implied that the Pentagon may have been hit by a missile and not an airliner on 9-11.
The Pat Buchanan I used to raise a glass with would have shoved the microphone down the throat, now, it just goes by, passing as all in a day’s work.
Two mega watts is a death ray.
So your admitting to being part of this conspiracy?
# Be used to replace the over-the-horizon radar system that was once planned for the current location of HAARP, with a more flexible and accurate system
# Provide a way to wipe out communications over an extremely large area, while keeping the military’s own communications systems working
Now, how is it that the Israeli’s (and the U.S.) were able to fly into Syria and bomb the ‘nuclear weapon assembly facility’, without being detected?
They couldn’t have used something like HAARP, could they?
ping
How about ultra-low radio frequencies. I remember Jack Anderson writing about them being used by submarines with some interesting effects. Any truth to that?
‘Now, how is it that the Israelis (and the U.S.) were able to fly into Syria and bomb the nuclear weapon assembly facility, without being detected?’
Spoofing.
Where’s Remo Williams when you need him?
I was just kidding, I knew you were being "in the ballpark", these threads get too serious most of the time!
Two million watts isn’t really a “death ray”. haha. Not in radio waves. If you’re talking about say, taking out electrical systems in a missile a few hundred or thousand miles away, even 2 megawatts isn’t going to do that.
Actually, many stations (AM and FM) broadcast up to 100,000 watts routinely. There are a few that are at the 320,000 watt range, and as someone mentioned this is EFFECTIVE RADIATED POWER (ERP) — which, simply put, takes into account the actual wattage, plus the gain of antenna systems and minus the power losses and so forth. (That’s a very simple explanation).
There aren’t, to my knowledge ANY radio stations that broadcast 2 million watts - that was a mistake on my part, I was sleepy and in the case of HAARP I’m sure they are capable of a lot of ERP.
As the other person mentioned ERP and ‘big aluminum cloud’, he was referring to a directional dish type antennas which have very high gain (say 96 DB or better sometimes) which means you can feed power to an antenna, and for every 3 db of gain you basically ‘double the power’. TThis is not REAL power but effective power. (EME was mentioned, and that is Earth-Moon-Earth radio signal bouncing, which many Hams are capable of doing).
