Leave them off. It would vastly improve the nation.

I live in California and wonder if it wouldn’t be a good thing here as well.

“Tear down the nuclear plant and replace it with what?”

How about a ton of windmills in the Hamptons.

;^)

That’s a fantastic idea. Tribes that are too remote for casinos could build nuclear power plants instead.

You know, what the liberals are doing in this country is making it more and more like the US of “Atlas Shrugged”.

Every day seems to bring us closer and closer to the shutdown of America that was prophesied by Ayn Rand.............

A NY Lawyer who’s socialist mindset says that he is now an expert in nuclear safety, terrorism and earhquakes.

Who needs Hillary...we got Cuomo

The Skull Valley Goshute tribe in Utah, noting the years of delays for the Yucca Valley waste storage site, are promoting their reservation as a commercial alternative. Unfortunately, they still have to ask for permission to do it.

Yes. In my last post, I forgot the operative word, “nuke.”

NYC has, after all the gobbledygook, power rates that run around $0.23 a kWH. It should be interesting to see what the rates will do without Indian Point.

I remember hearing Lilco’s chairman talk about how he and his company had been absolutely savaged by know-nothings in the media and NY politics at the time (think this was early 1980s.) Didn’t Lilco file bankruptcy ?

“One day one of these idiots is going to succeed in shutting down
Indian Point and the lights are going to go off in Manhattan.
Then what are they going to do?”

Go weeping to Quebec Hydro for power from their huge new project
(that includes a monstrous river diversion). I’ve only heard about
it from a report I heard on NPR (opposition research time!).

Cuomo cites terrorism and earthquake threats

New York is famous for its earthquakes. ;-)

Assuming that they will build Indian Point, chances are that the local politicans will saddle it with so many government regulations, strong arm the builders into erecting other things (like thousands of low cost apartments), that the price of building and running the place will force Indian point to charge outrageous amounts just so that they can recoup their costs.

Ummmm, Indian Point is built, and running (at leaast Units 2 and3). But the issue is that there is an agenda to prevent the RE-licensing of the plant for another 20 years of operation.

My guess it will be “Escape from New York”.

What, is Cuomo in the pocket of the Saudis?

Where do these fools think they’ll get the energy to run N.Y.?

I hope the lights go out in NY. The left wing potentates have no appreciation of what it takes to maintain much less create a world that does’t have to burn whale oil for light. And when the diesel fuel for the backup generators
for the hospitals and all of those “important” government buildings runs out, I’ll laugh at their foolishness.
