So, we need “free” health care. QED.

He drank heavily, and in a fog of frustration and delusion, said he could no longer afford his medication for bipolar disorder, his stepson, Benjamin Warren, said by phone last night.

Substitute things like LG TV, XBox and new car for alcohol, and you've got your typical Democrat supporter. No sense of personal responsibility.

Bipolar meds are countra indicated by alcohol and they are basically free from every public mental health facility in the country.

Not taking your meds and consuming alcohol is a common characteristic of anti social behaviour and bi polar mental illness in general terms.

He did not need a hospital. . .he only needed to take his 'meds'. . .

. . .knowing that he is 'disturbed' when not on them; making a conscious decision to not take them; says to me, one should be considered fully responsible for one's own, outcome based decision.

Applies to 'meds'. . .drugs; alcohol and any other impairment, people CHOOSE to operate under.

Bipolars don’t act with logic, even on their meds.

Many bipolars don’t respond to all medications. It’s like mixing cocktails. Some work, some don’t. Then after they’ve worked for a while, they stop and you have to start all over again. Besides, they often won’t take them, because they are fine- it’s everyone else who is crazy.

My husband was on lithium, which was cheap. But he also needed one that was more than $500 a month. I used to get down on my knees and thank God every day we had good insurance. The thing is, if he had no income, most of the drug companies had programs to give drugs for little or no cost. But bipolars often can’t muster up the logic to even fill out a paper. If I tried to give my husband a paper, he would usually end up throwing something through the window. I did it all.

The sad thing is, society really has no answer for the brittle manic depressive. Family is the only one, and they usually alienate them all.

To this guy, holding Hillary’s headquarters hostage I’m sure made perfect sense. It’s classic. My husband had to be babysitted to make sure he didn’t do stuff like that, even taking expensive meds. And he had numerous expensive hospital stays.

It’s obvious. Hillary and her staff should drop all charges, and use some of her campaign contributions for booze and meds for the guy, since Bush obviously isn’t paying for them.

Funny how all these AH that are victims of some modern umba gumba mythical spirit creatures....funny how they never step in front of a bus. Or spit in the face of a guy who is 6’6”, 280?
Funny how they manipulate, scam, have all the socialist ‘science’ jargon down pat.

Funny how these people can drive, buy, drink, mix, screw, eat, travel, tell jokes...and yet have some disease that doesn’t show up on any CAT scan, or blood test.

Bull.

He's a democrat, I grew up in that area and escaped, and no doubt about it he's a democrat. If he was a republican the media wouldn't be working so hard to make this a non story.

Every bi-polar “person” I’ve come in contact with has been nothing but abusive and destructive to themselves and everyone around them. They actually point to their condition for sympathy and try to excuse their behavior instead of utilizing treatment. Steer clear!

He couldn’t afford $4? There is quite a long list of medicines for mental health provided by Wal Mart for $4 for a 1 month supply. His is probably on the list.

I knew it. I told my wife that if this guy were anywhere being close to a conservative or Republican that headlines and news stories would focus on that. Since he was a Hillary supporter the focus becomes how much of a victim he is.

>>Stepson recalls a night of alcohol (but no $$ for meds)<<

You can get a bottle of rum for what, $10, but some prescriptions can be $100 plus. Even with good insurance I pay $300 a month for prescription copayments. One medicine I take for the brain tumor {feel free to insert joke here} would be $1200 a month by itself without insurance.

So there is not necessarily a contradiction between having $10 for one thing but not being able to afford prescriptions..

Of course a bipolar should be drinking like that and its no excuse for violence and a nanny state welfare approach won’t actually make things better but that is likely beyond the understanding of the reporter.

Has anyone read the whole article. This guy has had some real problems: beatings from a father, homeless at 21, molested by a priest where he sought shelter and work, arrested for forcing a woman to perform oral sex at knifepoint, jail and the most recent trailor habitation with his mental problems.

This is just ugly every which way.

And he saw a Shrillary commercial how she “saved” someone without insurance.
We reap what we sow.
