Every bi-polar “person” I’ve come in contact with has been nothing but abusive and destructive to themselves and everyone around them. They actually point to their condition for sympathy and try to excuse their behavior instead of utilizing treatment. Steer clear!

You're quite right. My brother uses it as an excuse at every turn. I want to kick him in the butt sometimes...but he's my brother. I really don't think the shrinks help. They almost enhance things he does....like my bro is doing the right thing...to match up with the shrink's diagnosis.
My bro sounds much better when he's off the meds.

Why do you put quotation marks around “person”? Are the bipolar something less than people, which is what your quotation marks signify?
